I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn on American Way in Memphis and had a truly enjoyable experience. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were friendly, professional, and made check-in quick and easy. The lobby and common areas were clean and welcoming. My room was spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The bed was cozy with fresh linens, and the amenities like the mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were a big plus. The Wi-Fi connection was strong throughout my stay, which made it easy to get work done. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast—hot, fresh, and with a great variety of options including eggs, waffles, fruit, and more. The staff working the breakfast area kept everything stocked and clean. The location is convenient, with easy access to the highway and not far from downtown Memphis and major attractions. Despite being close to the road, the hotel was quiet and felt very secure. Overall, Comfort Inn on American Way is a solid choice for anyone visiting Memphis. Great value, great service, and a comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again!

The check in checkout time….it was not convenient for all customers and to be charged late fees for a check out at certain times in the day isn’t fair. An evaluation of the system would have give more value to customers than the present policy. Of checking at 3:00 pm to check out 11: am isn’t fair. Thanks

I will never stay at this hotel. It was dirty with bugs in the room. Also, someone was blasting their tv all night - walls are very thin. Our air conditioning was broken and the bed was very uncomfortable .

Nice Stay

The staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the bathroom requires significant attention. The toilet has a persistent stain that makes it appear unclean and may need to be replaced. Also, the tub stopper is not functioning properly, and the bathtub itself would benefit from resurfacing or reglazing to improve its appearance and cleanliness.

We were in town for a funeral and I booked through Expedia. The rooms looked okay on the website but I should have read the reviews first. The hotel needs updating. Most of the workers were dressed unprofessional, including the women serving breakfast. On our first night we had just laid down when we heard a knock on our door. My husband got up and looked through the peep hole to see who it was. He saw two men standing right outside of the door, both of whom we didn't know. Needless to say we didn't open the door, but it made me feel very unsafe. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

My stay was overall pleasant. The air conditioning worked off and on which made it uncomfortable at times. I also did not know there were no laundry facilities on the property. I will not book here again solely for that reason. The younger front desk staff are not friendly at all. Sunday (5/25/25) the young boy at the desk appeared to be bothered anytime someone asked him a question.

Check in was terrible as the attendant seemed to not want to be there. No welcome nor smile. He said maybe3 words tome during the check in process. The breakfast attendant Angie more than made up for it. It was just about closing for breakfast but she assisted me with a smile and helpful effort.
