Affordable but certainly get what you pay for. The rooms are a bit old, which was fine but in the middle of the night there was a loud humming machine that woke us up. It sounded like it was coming from above us and lasted for 30 minutes. We have no idea what is was but it was quite obnoxious.

Excellent hotel on the St Croix River

This is a really comfortable historic hotel that has been updated. Very large rooms, some with views of the river. A good Irish pub in the building serves meals, and the shops and restaurants of Stillwater are all within a couple of blocks. Very relaxing stay.

There were 4 women in a room. We got there Friday night. Only 3 towels couple wash clothes 1 roll of toilet paper and empty kleenex box. (4 K cups for coffee otherwise you had to pay for it). We went down to front desk and got more of above. Sunday night at 1:30am the fire alarm went off for along time. It was the whole hotel We called down stairs and we were told they were working on trying to shut ot off. There wasnt a fire. For the money the place wasnt worth it. We wont stay there again. .

We really enjoyed our stay at Water Street. Loved the room, the view and how convenient it was to all the shops and restaurants. All the staff was excellent, from the front desk to the bartenders and wait staff. Hope to be back.
