Our check in was at 4pm but the room was not ready until 6pm. The A/C unit and fireplace were a little finicky but other than that, the stay was good. The location is perfect. Close to Fisherman's Wharf and to Carmel by the Sea.

An ‘Underwhelming’ Experience. This hotel is just average. The online photos are quite misleading and don’t accurately reflect the current condition of the property. The breakfast is basic—eggs and potatoes, but no bacon or sausage. Overall, it’s significantly overpriced and overrated for what it offers. The hotel is in serious need of renovation and modernization, and the rooms have an odd, ‘funny’ smell. Definitely not the best value for the price.

Comfort Stay!

Started the stay with excellent service! Hailey at the front desk was informative and kind. Free breakfast was great! Also, 2 wine glasses were complimentary for adults. Room felt very comfortable and clean. Would definitely come back here.

The front desk was so helpful. We were going to launch a kayak and they took the time to show us on a map their favorite spots to park and launch. The hot tub was spacious, there were 2 other couples and we did not feel cramped at all. There are also many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel (Pizza, Chinese, Thai, Sandwiches, café). Getting to the Old Fisherman Warf was just down the street and Cannery Row was easy to get to (both by car).

Overall hotel is great with great helpful staff especially the bartender and great location we walked to downtown to Alvarado and had great options to eat. Walked down more and hit the fisherman wharf. Room was nice and clean. The only thing is the pool was not heated and breakfast was honestly mid. But still better than going out and buying breakfast somewhere else.
