I have stayed here multiple times. I had a physical non life threatening injury at the last minute and could not travel. I called Expedia to request the hotel for a cancellation exception. They refused. While they were right within their cancellation policy, this was an exception not a precedent.

The overall stay of the hotel was great and clean! The staff was extremely nice and inviting. My only complaint was the bathroom required additional cleaning. There was hair in the tub and on the floor. I understand each housekeeping has a certain number of rooms to clean but it's the little details that can deter people from staying in a hotel based on the review.

The repost itself was beautiful but the food was absolutely horrible. The buffets served cold, overcooked and undercooked food. The rice was hard as rocks and everything was under heat lamps but cold or lukewarm. There was No entertainment on Friday night and limited entertainment (shows) during my stay for Mother’s Day weekend (Friday through Monday). My vacation was very disappointing to say the least. I will not return to Bahia Principe Grand.

Our Stay Was Just “Okay”

Overall our stay was not that bad. There were a lot of guests and one of the 2 elevators was down. The television kept going in and out, and it took 20 minutes before the tech arrived to fix it. But, the mattress was good, and the young man that was at the desk in the evening was very personable and professional. We’ve stayed at much better places but this stay was okay.
