Was there during Mardi gras. Valet parking had a cost but worth it in our opinion. Much going on, procedure to enter, so we were safe. Too early to enjoy the pool, but looked delightful, inspired our artist.

New Orleans Trip

Our stay at this hotel was ok. The main perk was that we were close to Bourbon Street and you could walk to most places without having to drive everywhere. The safe and alarm clock in our room were both inoperable and did not work at all. We called the front desk a few times and ultimately had to walk up there since no one would answer when we needed something. With that said, the room itself was clean and our stay was still comfortable overall. Be warned though that parking at this hotel is not free as it costs $50/night which was also a little bit of a deterrent for us to book there in the future. Additionally, the floors in the room are not fully set as certain areas have a little bit of give when you walk around in the room, but it could just be due to the hotel being older and needing a little bit of maintenance. The refrigerator is also small, so if you have leftovers from restaurants nearby, you will be limited for what you can keep in there during your stay. I’d only recommend staying here solely if you need a hotel close to Bourbon Street.

This is a beautiful hotel just a block from Bourbon Street -- close enough to walk to everything in the French Quarter but far enough away that you can get a good night's sleep. The hotel features lots of history and nicely sized rooms. Even though we didn't drive there, we got to know the valets and they were amazing -- friendly, funny, and informative. I only have two criticisms. it would be helpful if the rooms had a mini-fridge, because there are no vending machines on site (or if there were, I never found them). More seriously, the room service was very spotty. We ran out of TP after three days and I had to go to the front desk to track some down. The attendants didn't return later that day to service the room -- I guess delivering the TP was considered our service that day. On our fifth day, we put our bath towels on the floor as directed to be replaced. They took the used towels but didn't leave new ones. I had to shower using two small hand towels that evening. But outside of spotty cleaning service, the hotel is very nice.

I loved my stay at the Dauphine! It was my first full trip without transportation while staying in the FQ. My room at the Dauphine was perfect waking distances to fun, food, and shopping in the FQ. I loved my room in the Hermann House and the courtyards were beautiful! I can't wait for my next visit! I will definitely stay at the Dauphine Orleans again and I've already recommended to friends! Ideally situated in French quarter. Building a little tired and not soundproofed for street noise which could be considerable and go on late into the night if your room looks out onto the street. However, our room was clean and comfortable. The staff on the front desk, the concierge and the domestic staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The lady who runs the little poolside bar was somewhat abrupt and unfriendly. In conclusion I think this hotel was good value for money and I would stay there again.
