AC kept resetting the temperature much higher (mid 80’s) than we wanted so was hard to keep room cool enough, also meant it was a little damp. No light in the hallway outside or inside if the room so fairly dark until fully into the room (there was a little hallway inside of the room). Staff were super helpful and friendly, and iced water was always nice to return back to. Bottles of water each day were a welcome addition and room was a good size.

The location was ideal for a trip to midtown Manhattan and the rest of NYC. Times Square and Central Park both in sight. On 54th and Broadway so close to absolutely everything by foot or on a quick subway ride with nearby stops. And so many small independent delis and coffee shops for breakfast! I’m so glad we stayed there and would do so again without hesitation.

I thought this hotel was great for the price, really comfortable beds, decent sized room, air conditioning, and located very close to a subway station, Central Park, and many other attractions. That area of NYC I am not crazy about, would prefer a quieter street maybe more into Hell’s Kitchen, but can not beat the price. Would recommend 👍

The room was clean and comfortable. Coffee and ice water in the lobby was convenient and nice to grab as we were coming and going. The water pressure in the bathroom was not great during the morning hours and more than once we had to ask for more than one washcloth for the bathroom.

My husband and I stayed at the Ameritania for our 20th wedding anniversary. The staff was very accommodating and they upgraded our room as a lovely gift! The king size room was amazing! And although an older hotel, the facilities were very comfortable. We were also very happy and grateful for the complimentary water and coffee station in the lobby every morning. 👍👍

Fantastic hotel

Spacious room, spotlessly clean and kept that way every day. No street noice. Brilliant shower. Location is spot on. All staff are so friendly and helpful. Wine hour is a nice touch! So is the coffee in the lobby each morning. Highly recommended X

This was a great location for us, close to transit and walkable to many great restaurants, the park, shops, etc. Staff at checkin were very friendly. Room was tiny, like a small pathway around the bed, not really much room for luggage. Air was not working when we checked in, but staff was quick to arrive to ‘fix’ it.
