We had a balcony. Only the 7th floor had a good view so I’d say we are very lucky to have a balcony ON THE TOP FLOOR IF YOU WANT A GOOD VIEW ASK FOR THE 7th FLOOR

Windows were very drafty. On a cold night it was very noticeable. Staff was very attentive to all of our needs. Breakfast on Sunday was cleaned up by 9 even though we we were told it was available until 10.

The hotel was great, clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was kind and accomodating. What was unfortunate was that the expedia app was glitching during booking and my date was changed, with in a minute I tried to modify it but expedia would only allow a cancellation siting no refund. I was forced to rebook, essentially pay for my room twice. Expedia said it was the hotel policy. After speaking with the hotel they said it was not their policy and since it was a modification it should have caused no loss of funds to me. Do better Expedia.

Plusses and minuses

The Lex Hotel is clean; easy to get to on the subway, close to wonderful Indian restaurants and food stores; the beds were comfortable—ao you might ask why not an excellent review? The minimalist decor felt “cold” instead of “comfy,” no comfortable chair to sit on, And the the love seat worked for putting stuff on but not for a grown up human body. And indeed there was only a desk chair at all in the room. The bathroom had no separate heater; so getting out of the shower meant rushing to stand in front of the heater blower in the bedroom. The electric outlets in the bathroom didn’t work—but they did everywhere else. If you just want to sleep or ao something else in bed this is a great hotel!
