I was really pleasantly surprised by this charming, city-centre hotel. I have stayed in a number of hotels around Newcastle and this one is my new favourite. My room at the back of the hotel was incredibly quiet and comfortable and the staff were really great.

This certainly is the Grey hotel. Everything is grey. The hotel is average and the room was a little dated and could have done with a good clean. No ability to open the outside window and it felt a bit stifling at times. I will say the staff are lovely and the breakfast was lovely. Nice to see a breakfast cooked to order. The location is good.

Fantastic!

Booked with grey street as an upgrade to our usual hotel. We were not disappointed, in fact this will be our go to from now on, breakfast was absolutely delicious compliments to the chef, fresh pastries and poached eggs to perfection. Cleanliness of the room was superb. Everything was catered for including my request for a room with a bath and boy did they deliver. We will be back for sure.

Fabulous boutique hotel, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Central for shops, bars and restaurants. If you have mobility problems be aware that Grey St is hilly. I stayed in room 19 which meant stairs so again if you have mobility issues request another room. Saying all that I'd definitely stay again
