Food was underwhelming as a whole. Steak house is a nightmare to try and eat at. You have to wait in line for an hour before the steak house opens to try and get an seat. All of the other restaurants are a 5/10. You can only drink beer and wine at restaurants they won’t give you a different drink. Honestly, the food was actually terrible. If you try and get a seat at the pool in the morning you should plan to get out there at 6am to “save” your section of pool chairs. Room service was sub par. No real food for the room service. You can get a sandwich and chips and fruit and that’s really about it. Best food they had was the taco bar for lunch by the pool. Drinks were decent. Service at the pool was great. All of the staff were very nice. Great location on the beach. Rooms were clean and tidy.

Very nic hotel resort, Bed mattress was absolutely the worse we have ever slept on. Extremely soft mattress to the point you sink in it completely We were here with our 6 friends and try their bed and their mattresses was also extremely soft and they also complained to the resort management We will not return to this resort due to poor quality of their bed mattresses. It is a shame because everything else was great. BTW, mixed drinks were not all that good either. Do you research before booking for this place

Staff and food was great. Property is very nice. However, for an upscale property, they serve cheap beer. The alcohol does not seem to give you a buzz. If you don’t ask for Tito‘s, they give you Smirnoff. It is Riu palace there should be no cheap liquor there.

Overall great place! Not at all a party place. If you’re looking for a nice vacation that’s 55+ than this is for you!! My husband and are I not even 30 yet and felt alittle out of place. We really enjoyed the relaxing pool! Staff was excellent on service and/or whatever we needed. By far the best resort food we’ve had! This resort offers multiple restaurants and food options throughout of the day until evening, including room service! We loved the variety! This resort does offer an elite club upgrade (think VIP). From what I heard and saw from others it didn’t seem to be worth. They do have their own beach area, access to their own bar/coffee shop, and restaurant. They are allowed to make reservations for restaurants while other members are not! Overall a great place to stay! Would recommend if you’re looking for a quiet relaxing trip with no kids!

The room was comfortable, the location was great — overall, it’s a beautiful property with friendly staff. Food & Restaurants - The food was just okay. I expected more variety and better taste. - Buffet service depends on the waiter — some are very nice, others less so. - The Steakhouse is hard to get into, with long lines, and unfortunately the food wasn’t worth the wait. - The Italian restaurant was probably the best dining option. - Drinks were good. - The piano player in the lobby sings and plays very well — a really nice touch in the evenings. Entertainment - The shows were just average. Beach - We were lucky to have calm water and could swim. - Right after the hotel’s beach chairs, there’s a sign that says “RIU Hotel Property Limit.” Beyond that sign, the public area is occupied by horses and their owners. The smell of horse urine near the water is overwhelming, especially if you want to be closer to the water and makes it hard to enjoy the shoreline. - On the positive side, you can rent kayaks and catamarans, which is great. Shops & Services - The small shop on-site is convenient, but be careful: we bought a ball for $15 and were charged twice, with the second charge being $101. I’d recommend paying in cash. - The beach massage service was good and reasonably priced. Transportation: you walk to the reception, and they always have cars ready and waiting. no need to book anything online in advance if you’re going from hotel somewhere including airport.
