Will not recommend this hotel

The only positive was the location of the hotel. You are paying premium prices for an average at best room. Very limited space, no safe, uncomfortable bed/too low, and poor air conditioning. Furthermore there is no daily room service which is unheard of in all the travelling we have done. I would not stay in one of your hotels going forward and will not recommend to family or friends. This hotel in my opinion is overrated on hotels.com. We did not get value for the amount we paid for nightly stay!

VERY convenient. We got “upgraded” however, to a horrendous black-painted suite. A true Goth nightmare. Other rooms might be fine, but avoid 212. Trying to be edgy…but just depressing.

I loved the location of this property. You were right in front of the Opera House, could see the water and the hop on hop off bys stopped right across the street. You were right in the train station which made it very convienient for travelling. Oslo was so clean and so much green space made it so appealing. Would highly recommend this spot to stay.

The center of Oslo

It is in the perfect location in Oslo. The train station is just steps away, but the room is very quiet. Breakfast is included in the price of the room.

Great property location. Very strange path to get to the room… up a slow elevator to 2nd floor, down a long hall, down a flight of stairs, down a long hall to the room. Breakfast was good. Room was ok. The bathroom light was motion activated so when you opened the door, the light turned on and woke others up. Light didn’t go off very quickly after you forcibly (loudly) shut the door upon leaving which made it hard to fall asleep. No AC so it was quite warm unless you opened the window which made it quite loud. With earplugs and sleep mask, the room was better.

If you want to watch your budget, and just want a clean, safe hotel in the center of Oslo with easy public transportation access, Comfort Hotel Grand Central delivers! Bare bones amenities in the room, with artistic flair. No kettle (for those of you used to easy access to one), and rooms are only cleaned every fourth day. Breakfast is plentiful and good. If you are coming in from Oslo airport or the train from Bergen, you won’t find a more convenient location!

One to consider in Oslo

Nice hotel in a very convenient location. No need to exit the station from the airport as it is located within the complex. Just a few steps to Karl Johanns Gate and all the centre city attractions. Excellent breakfast available and the staff are excellent !

Can’t beat the location and options for dining, shopping, and getting anywhere in the area. Very safe feeling and friendly, helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast. Don’t expect a huge, luxurious room - but it’s clean, quiet and has a comfortable bed and great showers! Would 100% stay again! Recommend highly.
