Great location and good value for money

Excellent location opposite the Basilica and within easy walking distance to attractions, bars, restaurants shops snd links to public transport . The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and very clean although a little outdated Unfortunately, the tap for the bath/shower was difficult to use as very stiff. The shower was fixed in the wall however, there was no shower curtain so had to be hand held. A good choice of foods at breakfast if early. On our second day we arrived at 9.15 and the choices were limited as the food was not replenished when finished. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend.

Donatello Hotel was just few minutes step from the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua. The location was perfect, accessible to the church to visit in observance of the Jubilee Year 2025.

Do Not’atello!

Our room appeared to be a work in progress as there was zero art or decor, giving it prison cell vibes. Very poor quality towels and amenities. We are not high maintenance guests and the reception appeared irritated to even check us in. After returning from dinner one evening, they requested to see our room key and identification. That was strange and uncomfortable. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

It seems like this used to be a very nice property, but it's showing its age. Dead bugs were splattered all over our room's walls, which makes sense because we had to have killed 15+ mosquitos in our room. Didn't get them all because we were bit multiple times overnight. When we asked the front desk about it, they said mosquitos were normal and gave us an expired bug plug in (which didn't help). Air conditioner was barely functional; I can't imagine staying here in the hotter months. Front desk staff was very polite; food staff significantly less so. Breakfast was sparse, as food was not replenished after previous guests ate it. The only reason I would maybe recommend staying here is the proximity to the Basilica of Saint Anthony.

The hotel is located in a very noisy are. There is a restaurant right below it and the noise went into late hours of the night. Additionally, a shower would be very nice. Other than this, it was great!

We love the location and friendly staff. But the ceiling in our room showed major water damage. It got very warm and air conditioning wasn’t on. They did give us a fan. The breakfast was disappointing.

The Donatello hotel is in a beautiful spot opposite the Basilica, the staff are warm and welcoming. Breakfast has a nice variety of foods/drinks, and the room has a classic modern feel. Bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean and roomy.

Terrific location across from the cathedral square and walkable to many ships, restaurants and attractions. We also took public transport (tram plus train)to Venice for the day. Parking garage was very small but it helps to not have a car in Padua.
