Really nice hotel in a great location with plenty of cafes, stores and restaurants all in the vicinity. The hotel itself is very cute, but the ventilation system is terrible. The entire lobby and hallways smell like fried food, and the fire alarm goes off whenever the kitchen starts cooking (including at 6am). Guests even had to evacuate into the street because of it. Unfortunately, this completely ruined the stay for me.

After I got over the initial shock of how small the room was, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sookie. The rooms are extremely tight, including perhaps the smallest shower I’ve ever used, but I’ve heard that’s very typical in Paris. We loved staying in Le Marais, and Hotel Sookie was well located. Great cafes and shops around, and very walkable to the Metro. The decor in the hotel was so stylish and attractive.
