Very nice place, beautiful room. Only negative was the heat at night. Radiator not working, very chilly. Contact said there was a blue tooth sensor, but we never got above 64 on our thermometer.

No communication between Inn and Hotels.com.

Becareful when booking a room at Martin Hill Inn through Hotels.com. Hotels.com gave an option to put a deposit down but the Inn doesn't except that, they take the full payment, so I canceled the reservation thinking I made a mistake. I rebooked and it happened again. I called the Inn and it took them awhile to get back to me. I was told because they were on vacation. So who takes care of the Inn. I booked a room with a soaker tub and when I arrived there was no soaker tub, was told by the Inn there was a new onwner and took out all tubs. There was a snow storm over the weekend and the grounds of the Inn was poorly taken care of. Had to tromp through snow and walk on ice.

It was good but the check in information wasn’t sent (apparently some third party issues they have) and it took me a few attempts to reach them on the phone number, not an issue in the end but advise if you don’t receive a code then call before you turn up

What an amazing surprise! Beautiful property - stayed in the Typhoon Room. Up a flight of steps, no worries. A nice walk gets you to the center of town. Highly recommend.

The inn certainly has its charming aspects and quaint ambience. With that said, the property is completely unstaffed which presents its share of challenges. During check in, it was a bit later and I called the number provided to inquire about parking. After being connected and explained the inquiry, the first response the staff replied with was “did you read the email, it has the instructions for parking”. Once parked, upon entering the room, we discovered it was cold so we attempted to turn on the radiator. After unsuccessful attempts I called the help number again, and the response was again, “please read the instruction manuals, it has information on the heating system.” Upon reading the manual, it only contained info on a mini split system but did not contain information on the radiator. Upon reflecting this to the help line, I received a text to turn the dial left, then right, then I was asked to go to the basement to turn up the thermostat for the common area. Upon following the instructions and still being unsuccessful I simply asked if there was an onsite staff maintenance person given the radiator was broken and unfortunately there was not. To be fair, I was offered another room downstairs after numerous tries instead of offering to send a technician to diagnosis the problem as typical in hospitality. Overall, the property wasn’t forward about the property being unattended and it presented challenges. The last thing is there were was no breakfast for an inn.

Stay like a local

Comfortable spacious room with everything you need. This spot is perfect if you want to have a more local experience rather than a "hotel" stay. I really appreciated the friendly and professional staff who helped me have a great stay. The Inn is walking distance from everything with plenty of coffee, beer, and food options nearby.

We don’t usually stay at this kind of place, but our stay here was fine. The room had clean, modern decor and was clean. The bathroom used a barn door, which was a little wonky and not as private as a regular door, but otherwise no complaints. The contactless check-in was seamless and the room contained a notebook with instructions for everything in the room. We picked it because of its location, which was great—places to eat and drink nearby and a 10 minute walk to downtown. Lovely garden outback — unfortunately it was rainy during our stay.
