Great location, needs updates

Our group liked the location and the yard area, but inside needs updates. The beds were good. The property is also for sale and we think that is why areas were in disrepair.

Nice Stay in Canyon City

We enjoyed our stay, the house was nice, plenty of rooms, AC worked great. Outside grill did not work, only downside. We had mule deer visit daily, plenty of fun things to do in this beautiful town!

Family time

The home is well stocked as advertised. Kid friendly quiet neighborhood. House is clean and welcoming to just be comfortable. We had a family Easter get together and 10 people were quite comfortable hanging out. I would stay here again and I would recommend it for someone with kids .

Close to Town

Older home, close to town and amenities. We had no problems with the house and communication with the owner was great, just be aware this is an older home and therefore has some quirks that come with older houses. Yard was great, however it was inconvenient to use as the neighbor dog would constantly bark at us if we were outside.

Quaint little place

This place was very easy to stay in. There is some use abuse but nothing that wpuld keep me away from renting again! We enjoyed a fire every night and the kids enjoyed the playground everyday

Rooms were clean. Grill was nice with big outdoor table for dining. Centennial park nearby was fun! Volleyball net was a bonus for my teens! Game room pool table has seen better days and quite a few sticks were broken, the batteries and electronics of other games didn’t work.

Celebrating our 44th Wedding Anniversary

We was not expecting to arrive and smell a strong odor of a substance like Febreze sprayed all over everything like it was covering up some type of odor. I have asthma, which caused me to cough all night. So we left the next day and did not stay the two days that we paid for. Also, there was some type of a bug that had wings like an ant or something that was crawling on the walls when we got there in the bedroom. We tried to let the owner know. He said he was going to take care of it, but we have not heard back from him since. The place needs a lot of work done on it as well carpet needs to definitely be removed. We were very unhappy. We were on vacation to visit family and go to a wedding. Was traveling with a 15 y/o and a 7y/o. The house is old but very well decorated with a southwest theme. Was enough stuff for the kids to do so you didn’t have to hear them say they were bored. The contact person was easy to reach and very nice. Would stay there again if we go back to Canon City

wonderful home away from home

This was the first time that either of my partners in crime ever stayed at a VRBO so they were so excited and loved the place and the privacy. Funniest was we traveled to Canyon City to help their Aunt celebrate her 100th bday, and her house was only two blocks from this house we rented. Would 100% stay again, maybe for the 101st bday :)

Great place to stay with kids, Nice big yard play area for kids. Our grandkids are 4, 5, and 8 years old they had a great time. The house was very comfortable and a good layout for Grandparents with their kids and grandkids.

Great location for food and activities

This property has some great space, indoor and out. The layout is a little quirky and the a/c is by window unit (we just so happened to pick the one week temps were over 100 degrees for our visit). There were five of us and two dogs and we were able to spread out when we wanted. A little short on dining space (two seperate spaces inside added up to 6 seats, plus 6 outside if the weather permis) vs the number of beds (room for 13). The back yard was perfect to enjoy S'mores over the fire pit, a good game of family volleyball and letting the pups run around.

Needed repairs

Rear heater (wall unit ) needs repaired so thermostat can turn heat on and off and rear shower needs valve adjusted so hot water will come out off shower. Home was nice other wise
