Our family had such an amazing time at Melia! Everything was perfect for our family of four (38,39, 7 & 4) Our concierge Anny Liriano was beyond spectacular, she anticipated our needs and helped us with every step of our trip. The food was delicious at every restaurant or buffet & staff were courteous and polite, always making everyone feel welcome. The Beach was perfect soft sand and had lots of fun activities. The water park was a big favourite of our family and was great for all ages with different areas for different swimming abilities and different play styles. The pool was such a fun other water amenity that was close to everything and always had lots of room for everyone. I cannot express enough how much fun we had on our trip at Melia, perfect place for our family vacation. Shows were so great every evening, food was delicious, amenities were wonderful, room was spotless and had enough room for everyone. Everything was way above our expectations and made our trip a fantastic experience no one will forget. Would go back 100%!!!

We had a great time at Meliá caribe, clean rooms, friendly staff and great amenities. We are a family of three, our son loved the water park as well the kids’ center. Our experience fell well below the standard advertised for the price paid and represented very poor value for money. There were some positives: the children’s evening entertainment was very good, Merkado staff were generally friendly, and the golf cart drivers were helpful. Unfortunately these were outweighed by significant problems. The room was poorly prepared on arrival. The TV and phone did not work on day one; although the TV was replaced it malfunctioned for much of the stay. The shower head was detached, the toilet seat broken, and the room felt run down with poor finishing. We booked a king bed but received two doubles, and a pre-requested baby cot arrived late and was extremely old and unsuitable. Restaurant access was a constant frustration. We were repeatedly told our preferred restaurant was unavailable and directed to the buffet, yet availability suddenly appeared on our final night despite many empty tables, suggesting restricted capacity. Breakfast quality was very poor; at 6:40am we were refused service until 7:00am despite food already being laid out. Bazaar staff appeared disengaged and we witnessed tables cleaned using used tissues. A serious privacy breach occurred when staff attempted to enter our room seconds after knocking while we were asleep and not dressed, waking our baby. At 4:45pm, while facilities were still open, we were refused beach towels, preventing proper beach use. Checkout luggage assistance took over an hour Not value for money

Hotel is very nice and very clean, food wasn’t the best but wasn’t bad, some of the staff was very helpful and kind but not all of them, some were rude. Poll was very good however you need to get up very early to get a chair (same for the beach).

Upon arrival, we got our room upgraded to the level suit which was brilliant. Our room was continuously cleaned and the fridge was re stocked everyday with snacks. Our overall stay was a 8/10. Everything was perfect, the beach, the food, the resort its self with entertainment and its layout. However, the female staff are quite rude. They appear to have an attitude and seem to be angry all the time. This was mainly at the buffet near bavaro beach.

We booked the Meliá Caribe Beach Punta Cana. I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews. However we were very surprised by our findings. I booked a deluxe VIP room, which came with our own Concierge Anny Liriano. What an amazing person. She booked all of our dinner reservations, arranged reservations and transport to an off property restaurant. She checked in with us everyday. She was amazing. We had a small room issue ( not enough towels) she had it resolved within 5 minutes. She was professional, friendly, and amazing. We could not have gotten anyone better. The resort is huge and very well maintained. The room was a bit dated but served our needs perfectly. The restaurants were all very good. We didn’t enjoy the Steakhouse as much and Italian was by far the best. Geraldo the manager at the Italian restaurant went above and beyond to make both of our dinners there special. The buffets were good also. The food needed to be a little warmer but there was plenty of variety. They had made to order stations at both breakfast and lunch. Carolina Rivas was exceptional. We always had water and coffee . She was fast, friendly and very attentive. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. There was alway a choice of where to eat. The snack bar by the Rumba bar was great for a snack. The drinks were all very good. Over all the food was good.

First will say this is a large and beautifully kept resort. The rooms were of a good size for our family, and clean but very dated and tired. Rooms also had lots of flies around the drains. Staff was hit and miss, as a general statement, they were not overly friendly or accommodating. Amenities were adequate for a hotel this size. Food left a lot to be desired and attention to/ knowledge of food allergies (gluten specifically) was severely lacking.
