What I liked least was that it was nearly impossible to make reservations at the restaurants. However, what I enjoyed the most was how some of the staff treated me — they were genuinely kind and welcoming. Special thanks to Wenson and the recreation team, who made our stay especially fun and memorable.

Our stay at Royalton Splash Punta Cana was far below expectations, especially in terms of safety and comfort. Our 7-year-old was injured twice in different pools — once by a sharp object and another time by a woman's earring stuck in his foot. This raises serious concerns about pool cleanliness and maintenance. The room phone didn’t work, so for any issue or emergency, we had to walk 8 minutes to the reception. The room was damp, smelled musty, and had visible mold on the wall. For three nights, a group of minors in the neighboring room drank alcohol and made noise until 2 a.m. At 6 a.m., loud cleaning staff started shouting and banging doors. We barely slept. When I complained at the front desk, the staff responded unprofessionally ("calm down, lady") and didn’t resolve the issue. That same night, the group continued their party and ordered food at 1 a.m. When I pointed out that they were minors (wearing yellow wristbands), I was told they were adults — a clear lie. Alcohol should not be served to minors, especially when it disturbs other guests. The buffet was repetitive, and flies were constantly landing on the food, which was very off-putting. Sadly, this resort did not feel safe, relaxing, or family-friendly. We would not return and do not recommend it for families with children.

We had an amazing time except for the one day we were lured to a meeting for Prime vacation club. We were constantly misled and lied to about the program. It ruined our day and blemished the entire experience. Other than that we had a fabulous time and our butler Jairon was excellent and took care ofnus

Worse hotel experience ever

This was the worst hotel experience ever. I made the reservation for my son as a birthday present. When he got there, the room was not ready and had to wait until 6pm. At 6pm they gave him a room key which would not open the room, they gave him 3 room keys and each time the key did not work. So, he cancelled the the room reservations after paying with his own money at check in but could not check in so he went to another hotel for the entire stay. Now the hotel which he spoke to the manager said that they would refund his money, still has not done that. Now he has to contact his bank for the refund asnd must block the payment. Do yourself a favor, do not stay here

Worst vacation ever…May 9 - May 14 2025. First and foremost you must speak Spanish or have an interpreter. It was extremely hard communicating with everyone on resort. Where should I start. My traveling companion had bite marks on both his legs I just so happen to pull back the sheets and see a dead bug along the bed so I then poured sanitizer on sheet went to front desk to report the bite marks on his legs. Guest service had someone come and check my bed and said they didn’t see anything. Finally housekeeping comes to clean my room, how about she put those same sheets on my bed again, I found her in the next room over and had her come back to clean my room again and put clean sheets on my bed. Took my companion to medical doctor on resort found out we had to pay $215 just for conversation. Brought an elephant at gift shop for my daughter got to my room it was broken took it back the next day. Gift shop told me I dropped it on the ground myself no refunds or exchange. Never knew all inclusive meant I had to make a reservation for all restaurants on resort with limited spots in which if you wasn’t a diamond you could forget it. Let’s just say I learned a lot on this vacation on where not to go.

This property sucks both our rooms had dirty sheets with stains as well. We upgraded to diamond club to get a better room and better service front desk wanted to charge $1,500 usd we end of paying $750 usd. With the upgrade it was a better room but still stains sheets and towels and overall still was dirty also they try to get use to join a membership they offer a beach vip seating area so we can hear them out for over two hours about why should we join the membership that is over 25 years paying $350 usd a month and you get a set rate of $450 for any other hotel under them for a one week. Also they kept talking about how they part of Marriott I’m pretty sure Marriott is not involved with this Membership as Marriott has its own rewards program that is not a membership. Never going back there.

This was truly an beautiful place to stay. We felt safe, the establishment was very clean, the buffets were amazing. (For Dominican food). Zen restaurant was our favorite, but wouldnt rave about the other restaurants. Perfect content with the buffets. SIDNEY was our butler, and truly a lovely man. He made our family feel safe, and addressed our needs, although they very few. He was extremely kind, professional but also personalble. Does a fantastic job. I had treatments at the spa with YESSENIA, truly outstanding hands.(I have worked in the Esthetics industry for the past 25years) The staff are lovely, kind and extremely hard workers. We were always treated with smiles and kindness. PLEASE WEAR OR BRING Rock Walkers or anti slip shoes/sandles. A very slippery resort. Water park is a must go, our family went on every ride, way too fun. We were under the impression that Diamond club automatically got access to use a cabana for the week....not the case. You can reserve one for $99/US per day. We probably didnt need the room with the bunk beds, but the kids enjoyed them. We stayed at the Splash resort, however I would likely have preferred staying at the Royalto side, we spent way more time on thst end of the resort because that was closest to the beach. Although, splash side was very quiet earlier as it was mostly young families. We didnt leave the resort to shop was ended up being really pricy. We only did carry on, but bring A LOT of sunscreen if can.($40-50US)otherwise.
