The Red Roof Inn Plus was an excellent choice for me. My room was spacious with air conditioning, a comfortable bed, a desk, a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing board, blow dryer and great lighting. There is also a pool. There were plenty of outlets for electronics. Great area, very walkable, close to the Alamodome, the Riverwalk, resturants, shopping. This hotel is centrally located, and pet friendly!! Its right on a bus line also.No hotel resturant, but they do have plenty of vending machines with microwavable food, drinks, snacks etc. They offer food service delivery though limited. They do have self service coffee station in the lobby that is available 24 hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful. As a solo woman traveler, I felt safe in the area, and would definitely stay there again.

Dirty hotel, disgusting towels, smelly hallways, deceiving photos, general manager told me and my wife to “f*** off” several times during checkout. Raised this to corporate and since “our stories didn’t match I was trespassed from staying there again” (as if I’d ever stay in that dump ever again). Also got charged $20 a day for parking when it’s advertised everywhere that’s it’s only $15. DO NOT STAY HERE IS YOU HAVE STANDARDS OR VALUES. Dumpy trap hotel that’s fifteen minutes from the riverwalk, LYING to customers to get bookings.

I didn’t like that the Pool is located by the entrance with a lot of people going in and out of the building. I didn’t feel unsafe but I didn’t like the area. The room was clean and check in was easy.

Everything was was great except the parking. Guest have to pay for parking and get a parking pass and are being told that the garage parking is for cars n suvs and the parking in the front is for trucks, well we have a truck and we never got a parking in the front cuz it was full both nights with cars and suvs and we had to park in the garage and we scratched a little bit of the top of our truck being out truck was too high😒
