This Motel 6 is the nicest Motel 6 I've ever stayed at! And I'm not just talking about the fact that it's located in downtown Pismo Beach and is walking distance from the pier and the shops and restaurants in the area. (As they say, location is everything.) The property itself is clean and well-maintained as well as our spacious rooms. The beds are creaky and the pillows are too soft and need more filling. Those are the negative things I can say about our stay. The staff are really friendly. And really, you can't beat the location. So overall, we enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely be back!

Okay motel for an overnight stay

Check in was quick and easy. Plenty of parking for mid week. Parking lot is a little tight with not a lot of space between stalls. Room had a very strong smell of bleach. We had to air out the room. The bed was firm with very soft pillows. The shower didn’t drain well because it had a mesh trap. Once that was removed it was fine. The location is really good for the price. A couple minute walk from the beach and the little shops. It wasn’t the greatest but for the price and location, I’d probably stay here again.

Hotel is a motel 6 didn’t expect much but this was our second time here, both time staff has upgraded us for free. The room was nice but a 3 minute walk to the beach and 5 to the pier can’t beat it for the price.

I enjoyed that for my stay I was able to park in the hotel parking lot and not have to move my vehicle the entire vacation. Usually the parking around the area is packed and takes hours to find a spot. I also liked that it was walking distance to the pier and the beach. I was also walking distance to the shopping strip. However I did not like how outdated the rooms are. I booked 2 rooms and in one of them (230) there was no central heating and we were provided the smallest portable heater in the room, which it was still very cold in the room.

It was ok. No heater, no shampoo/conditioner. Towels need to be updated they’re thinning out. Bathroom window wouldn’t close all the way. The office guy wasn’t friendly. House keeping lady was so sweet. Love the fact the beach was a block away and so was restaurant/shopping
