Carpet was very dirty and was a non smoke room however it smells like cigarettes the entire room. Towels were only 3 they should pack with towels since families can be bigger in number. Definitely needs an upgrade ASAP. Needs remodeling !! It was ok our stay the staff could be more helpful offer breakfast times on the sheet in each room and times.

We were planning on having dinner, the menu look great but we stayed on Sunday and the restaurant is closed on Sunday. That was our only disappointment.

Going downhill?

Front desk and restaurant service was terrible. Restaurant food was ok. I have stayed at the Santa Maria Inn multiple times and this last stay was the worst. The hotel is clean and a lovely historic place but their service leaves something to be desired. They also had room service in the past but not anymore! Maybe it’s going downhill which is sad.

Awesome Stay

Have been staying at the old side of the Santa Maria Inn a few times now. We love the nostalgic feel from back in the day. Very well preserved. Clean vintage rooms. We had asked for a room with a view of their beautiful garden and were placed in one that didn’t really accommodate that. But upon request we were very politely upgraded to one of their executive suites. That made our experience so much better. We appreciate the staff going above and beyond to meet our needs and requests. As always be polite to the staff and they will reciprocate back.

I love Santa Maria Inn but the older areas need some standard remodeling....also update website so we know refrigerator, microwaves are in older rooms.

Food crumbs on the floor, stains on practically every furnishing with a cushion, somebody elses pants left in the closet, bathroom fan was caked in dust/filter hadnt been changed in months. Not great for the "updated" tower rooms. The lobby upon check in smelled like a mixture of smoke and sewage. Only stayed 1 night but will not be staying again due to cleanliness

The property was very nice surrounding tons of restaurants and shops…the room was huge and clean but could use some work the room had 2 sinks which is an interesting feature. Only one side of the window opened not sure if that was a security issue or not?? Overall I would stay again if I were in the area and would recommend

A neat place to stay

Recommend the haunted tour. It lasts about an hour. It's quaint and has a lot of charm. There are some areas that have that old musty odor but that adds to the charm.
