Very nice clean newer Hotel. Breakfast buffet was very good. Roof top bar had a nice view, the building was higher than many of the hotels around the area. Location was good, 5 minutes walking distance from Chinatown and a short drive from other areas like MBS, Little India, Garden by the forest, etc. it was also within walking distance of other shopping and eating areas (Lau Pa Sat included). It is a great value.

Highly recommend this hotel

A beautiful hotel on the edge of Chinatown- kept so clean and all the staff were so helpful. A filtered fresh water tap in your room meant you had unlimited supply of drinking water which was such a bonus in 32c and 85% humidity. We ate evening meal in the restaurant on a Saturday night and had the seafood buffet which was an outstanding choice of fish. The rooftop bar provided a beautiful view of the busy harbour and the staff were exceptionally attentive. As we had a late evening flight on departure we were able to extend our room stay until 6pm for half the cost of a night which worked well for us.

Non smoking room that reeks smell of smoke

I was given a non smoking room on the 14th floor, however it had a strong odor of cigarettes in the hallway and in the room even more. This gave me dry cough and headache every morning. I have been choosing to stay at Carlton City each time I travel in Singapore in the past 10 years and this bad experience will put an end to this. Never again.
