We were only there for a night in order to be close to the boat. It certainly was adequate for that. There were shops and restaurants nearby, which was great. Security stole. Davidson I can’t unpack Metamucil and suppositories and a shelf that works on boats and I know I need like black pants.

Good but potential to be excellent

Good but they didn't clean my room during the normal cleaning routine in the morning. We had to request the bin to be emptied. Also they didn't charge one of my meals I ordered correctly which made it a bit of an annoyance to sort later in my stay.

Nice room, decent size. Biggest complaint is lack of AC in rooms. Do not believe what is listed on the hotel sites amenities. They have AC in the hallways and lobby but not actual working AC in the rooms. There is a control on the wall that does nothing. Room temp was about 26C/78F and humid. If the heat doesn't bother you then go for it!

Our room was acceptable. We found the bed harder than we like. Our principal problem was that the air conditioner broke down and we woke up in the middle of the night because it was uncomfortably hot. The hotel did refund us a portion of our payment as a result.

Great experience staying here. The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable. There’s a small store nearby for some necessities, and more extensive shopping is just a 15-minute walk mostly through a park. We ate at least one meal there each day, and the food was very good. All in all, a very nice place. We would definitely stay there again.

Poor - will not stay at this hotel again

Room looked tired, unwelcoming and was too small for a double and a single bed. Very cramped. Musty smell. Bathroom old and tired. It was really hot but AC didn’t work No hair dryer available I immediately called reception, was promised someone would bring yp an hairdryer and come to look at the AC but no one arrived. Left the room 45 mins later, went to reception and reported again. Receptionist again said she would request a hairdryer, and get someone to look at AC. Receptionist called me whilst out and said we would be re-roomed to floor 12. Had to pack and relocate ourselves at 11pm when we returned from a concert. Still no hairdryer in the room so receptionist asked again for this item. Minimal bar staff to serve drinks, uncomfortable seating in bar, with no ambience, not a welcoming environment. Breakfast disappointing. All in all, not the experience I would expect.

Great for a night’s stay in Southampton. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. The pipes in our bathroom were loud and made noises whenever flushing or using the sink.

Great welcome at reception. Only downside is that the bar area does not open until 12 noon so if you arrive early you cannot get a refreshment. Super tasty meal in the evening and first class service in the bar. Thank you for a great short stay.
