The Staff were very helpful, its the greatest location and our changed room which did not have a shower over a spa bath which was very difficult to climb in. Always order no shower over bath.

Very handy for Hastings street walk out and straight into the top of the street. Great swimming pool nice and warm and spa. Plenty of seating around the pool. Rooms overlooking the pool is nice and the birds came down to visit. Apartments were plenty big enough for us but the contents were tired and dirty or broken. Couch was stained and ironing board was broken. No vaccuum so the bedroom carpet couldn’t be cleaned and even though the manager had checked our room was ready when we arrived it hadn’t been cleaned properly just a basic quick clean. There was drink or food splashes over the door divider panels and the floors weren’t clean if you closed the doors there was dust and dirt behind them. Cobwebs and bugs in the ceiling and ants in the kitchen bench area. Very disappointed in the cleanliness.

Our stay stared off not so pleasant in a room that smelt of urine( unfortunately the cleaners had not checked one of the pillows that had been used to urinate in) it was disgusting room was also dirty cold and dusty. Management was apologetic and we were changed into a new room the following day. However this doesn’t change the fact that we discovered the saturated pillow in an unfortunate way. I think this resort is slightly outdated however the cleaning aspect is unsatisfactory.

Very tired, room weren’t ready. Beds very uncomfortable, in need of new mattresses. Lounge and cushions filthy. Whole resort tired and very disjointed to get around it. Very overpriced for what it offers.

Hotel good v poor customer care from hotel managem

The Mantra was a lovely place to stay, the staff v friendly & helpful. Sadly our trip was cut v short due to cyclone Alfred heading to the area. We only stayed one night due to the cyclone heading to hit land. We checked out after 1 night but sadly the hotel wouldn’t offer a refund for the remaining 3 nights. We I feel is not right because we left due to v bad weather and the whole area being shut down.

Right in the the middle of things

The place is great, right in the middle of things. A bit difficult to find your way around inside, took us ages to get back to reception after we parked. But room was great, clean, spacious and just what we needed
