Very disappointing. Dirty mirror, dirty bathroom fixture, glasses and utensil from previous guest sat outside door for duration of my stay, water damage in toilet and bath area, etcetera. This place needs upkeep!

Grounds pleasant and beautiful but no seating available on lawns. Mandatory valet parking we did not care for $35 per day resort fee we were not aware of Dining good but very expensive

Beautiful property. It has one of the most beautiful indoor pools I’ve ever been in. 10 feet deep, the round pool with dark emerald tiles surrounded by green vegetation gives you the feeling that you are swimming in a cenote. We wished we had another day to spend it in there.

This is a great getaway location for a recharge. The property has convenient walking, an indoor saltwater pool, morning yoga classes, and is walkable to the Taos square. I adore my time here.

This property is run down and not taken care of. In its day it was probably great. Obviously it has gone through different owners. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. One room had a comfortable queen the other had a king. The king bed felt like the springs were coming through the mattress I got no sleep at all. Most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I now have to go to the chiropractor. For the price I would definitely go somewhere else. I will never stay here again. The staff was good. The restaurant was ok. The dinner waiter really needed to take a shower. The breakfast waitresses was great. It was quiet. It is posted a nonsmoking property however I could smell cigarette smoke both nights. A very confused property.

Loved the location and the grounds of Monte Sagrado. We stayed in the hotel section (building 4). My general impression is that this place “has seen better days.” In our guest room, the sliding glass door was very difficult to open, a picture was missing over the fireplace, and the coffee cups were not replaced after use, and the carpet was not vacuumed the last cleaning. We visited the pool are, but didn’t get in because the water was so murky. On a more positive note, the valets and the reception staff were all very friendly.

This was a perfect getaway for my husband and myself. The property exceeded my expectations with a lovely calming view of the shaded meadow, with koi fish playing in the pond just below our private balcony in the Indian suites. I got a massage and a facial and both were very high quality, though my masseuse was running a bit late (the only slight negative in 3 nights of perfection). We mostly ate at restaurants in town but on the first night we ate at the hotel restaurant which was delicious and sourced from local ingredients. The plaza is an easy walk from the hotel and they offer free drop off and pick up service. It was a lovely vacation.

El Monte Sagrado in Taos is a true gem. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding—genuine, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. The property itself is stunning, with every detail thoughtfully designed to reflect the beauty and spirit of the Southwest. Our room was a dream: cozy yet luxurious, with incredibly comfortable beds, soft pillows, and an amazing shower featuring top-notch shower heads. The provided bath products—shampoo, conditioner, and body wash—were high quality and smelled wonderful. A perfect blend of comfort, style, and serene hospitality. Highly recommend!

This is an absolutely beautiful resort. The grounds, pool & spa, restaurant are all 1st class. On top of all that the staff is wonderful! If you are fortunate to have Brian at the valet stand when you arrive, your stay is off to a fantastic start. He welcomed us like we were his family! He was so friendly, informative and was the icing on the cake to our stay!! There is also car service to take to destinations within the city limits. We were only able to stay 1 night but are planning a return trip to enjoy the spa and wellness center and more of Taos. A true10 all the way around!

The grounds are beautiful and all service was warm and responsive. We loved the text for service feature! We were very satisfied with the value of our room which was tastefully decorated, and had quality finishes. Furniture is getting a bit worn and the room was not thoroughly vacuumed.
