We were told breakfast was served till 11 am. We went to eat at 10 am and we were told the breakfast was closed. We went to a local place for breakfast and I got food poisoning. My wife went to the restaurant at the hotel and got a burger We didn't get our $15 per person credit for her dinner.

I would think that for almost $200 a night there would be SOME amenities (such as coffee in the lobby). The breakfast service was the worst that I’ve ever experienced - no coffee refills, ridiculously long wait for food despite not being busy. Rooms were not cleaned during our two day stay. Not impressed

Everything was great until we got ready for bed and pulled back the bedding. The sheets were soiled, I took a picture and sent it to Samantha, the lady that reached out after check in to see if all was good. It was until bedtime. We were exhausted, ready for bed and did not want to move to another room. My husband put a towel down over the soiled area and slept on that side of the bed. Samantha said she sent the picture to her manager, but we never heard anything back. I would not be writing this now, but received the email asking about our stay.

My wife & I cam to Hotel Don Fernando de Taos and found this beautiful hotel… it really fits the Taos lifestyle and it is beautiful, spacious room and the staff was really nice at check in… Highly recommend it, if your staying in Taos!

This hotel is worn and appears not to have been refurbished for some time. Both rooms we were assigned were not properly cleaned--dirty towels left in the bathroom and a smear on the bedspread in one, a pile of sweepings behind the bathroom door in another. To make matters worse, the hotel charges premium prices in line with luxury properties. This is NOT a luxury property. If you're expecting a Super 8 or Motel 6, you'll be satisfied. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

I've stayed at Don Fernando before, and had a very pleasant time, which is why I returned for a few nights this September. In my other stay, the bed had a comforter / duvet on it, which traps warmth as you sleep, so as your body temperature drops during sleep, you stay warm. On this stay, the bed had only one thin blanket on it, which was not sufficient -- the weather in Taos goes down to the 40s F. at night by September. I was going to ask for another blanket, but doubted that would help -- still too light for the weather. So I had to keep the heater on, which made the room too warm at times, and put extra bed pillows on and around me for warmth. Last time I stayed at the hotel, the indoor pool was nicely heated. It didn't feel heated at all this time -- the water was cold. The maid also didn't get to my room either day that I stayed there (I was there for two nights). I doubt this was her fault. This happened at another Hilton-owned hotel I stayed at over the summer. They clearly didn't have enough maids working for them. These strike me as money-saving actions on the part of the hotel, which is a shame, because it discourages return stays. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. But the things I mention above were a letdown.

We insisted on a better room which was available even though they said there were no other rooms available. She said she assumed we would want a first floor. Seemed agist.

Outside of easy walking distance to shops. Coffee shop across the street. Food and drinks were mediocre and there was not much variety. At breakfast we just got the potatoes and werent given the selection of fruit. The staff were awesome. Room clean and quiet except some prankster pulled the fire alarm one night.

Two points: ordered coffee and pastry at the restaurant at 7:00 PM. Was given a coffee bag, as you find in your hotel room, in a small container with room temperature water. I asked for hot coffee and was told they don’t brew coffee in the evening. This is a Hilton hotel? Second point, a very loud motor was running near our room until around 11:00. Unable to locate the source. I requested another room, was denied. The front desk did not attempt to help us with this very annoying situation. After traveling all day we were hoping for a good nights sleep. This did not happen! The following morning we found the source of the noise coming from an area of the hotel near our room. We do not recommend this hotel.
