The room was very high standard. Ruby on the bar was very helpful with information on things in York, With her service she made it like we were in our local which is a great feeling, always ready to help with our orders with outstanding manners. Thank you to all the staff for a beautiful stay.

The lobby was nicely decorated and inviting. Comfy seating to wait while the small queue of guests were dealt with. Check in was quick and uneventful. I was given a room on the second floor. The room itself was big and bright with a huge window. The bed was a really good size and pretty comfortable. The room looked very tired and rundown, lots of scratches and chips around the edges of doors and walls. The bathroom was ok but very small. I had to laugh because there was a sign on the bathroom mirror boasting about how clean their rooms are, whilst right underneath it were drops of blue toothpaste all around the sink vanity. The toilet constantly dripped after flushing. The USB next to the bed was a nice touch, but a previous guest had left something wedged in there, so it didn’t work. The TV had also had the aerial and power lead removed from the back of it, so it took me a few minutes to get that all hooked back up again to get the TV going. It was an adequate stay, but the hotel was nothing special. I couldn’t report any of the issues as I checked out, because the fire alarm test was happening.

Very disorganised. Someone was allocated the same room as us and tried to enter with their room key when it was occupied by us. Then later that evening a member of staff knocked on our door asking if we’d seen a lost black case. In the positive side, breakfast is good & there is a large free car park for hotel residents

Nice room, clean, quiet, iron, kettle and hairdryer... Nice chill area downstairs, nice seating area outside, weather permitting... On main bus route for into town 15mins or so...a spar and a few nice pubs also on the main road from the hotel.. I would defo stay again 👍👍👍staff nice and friendly.

The staff were very welckming on reception.and in the dinng area but however i found there was too much noise going on while we were here not sure what was going on it appeared to be some renovation work but it kept us awake for 2 out of 3 nights also it was very hot for sleeping breakfast was very good didnt disappoint and staff were great
