Quiet luxury living at its best
"Staying at Hotel Punkaharju was the highlight of our week long trip in Finland.
A historic destination among the most beautiful landscapes in the whole country (a road leading to the hotel called Vuosisadan tie was voted as the most scenic in Finland), Hotel Punkaharju has been restored to its old grandeur with just the right touches of modern day living. Shampoos and conditioners from Fräntsilä, adored those. Best bed we slept in during the entire trip. The beautiful surrounding nature and a morning dip in lake Puruvesi, heaven.
Are the hotel rooms a bit pricey? Yes, and they should be. This type of stay is the epitomy of the quiet luxury trend. Especially the breakfast and separate menu dinner at Restaurant Metsä - just oozing that impeccable respect for both high standard local ingredients and excellent customer service.
I urge everyone traveling in Savonlinna region to book a night or two at Hotel Punkaharju. Truly an experience worth living."

"WC:n/saunan ikkuna jumissa, piti käydä työntämässä ulkopuolelta auki.
Vuodesohva vaarallinen; tukijalat (putkituet) lähtivät alta, vaikka oli varmistettu,että olivat kunnolla asetettu paikoilleen. Saunakauha puuttui (pikku juttu).
Muuten majoitus siisti ja asianmukainen."
