i booked the room while on my roadtrip to texas. solo female traveler on a budget. well, the reviews looks great despite it being bakersfield. i stop and check in and immediately can get an uneasy vibe however i was sleep and i reserved a bed. within 5 minutes, groups of men (3) started knocking and turning handle. luckily i had already barricaded the door with furniture. after the first attempt of interacting/knocking on the door. i call the front desk and alert them of the matter. they tell me they’ll come scare them off and to not call the cops. she comes and knocks on my door announcing “MAAM, ARE YOU OKAY?? they are gone now” i call the cops anyways because not she announced i was solo. they sent a patrol car. i asked for an escort but no one helped with that. i called the front desk and asked her to walk me to my car, she literally didn’t. just watched me from a distance. i told her i didn’t care for a refund for my safety. my safety is well worth MORE than a $45 room. save yourself the trouble. get the room near the tesla super chargers… the rooms here are patrolled, card access only and well worth the peace of mind. take care yall. and f this place for life!

Hotel was fine for an overnight stay - clean, but a bit dated. Nice large refrigerator. Woke to several police cars in the parking lot - not sure what was going on, but we left as soon as we felt safe to do so.
