Quaint, pleasant old inn( dangerous outer stairs

Nice rooms, staff and location. But old narrow steps, and stiff outer doors are a safety concern, especially for seniors carrying bags up and down narrow, steep outside stairs.

Overall the staff was above and beyond helpful and pleasant, room was very nice. Only odd quirk was that for the complimentary breakfast we ate outside and when the quiche arrived the waiter warned to eat it quickly because the bees tend to enjoy it. No sooner did they leave that about 15 bees were on our table swarming so we were unable to actually eat breakfast. I understand not disturbing nature but this was a somewhat ridiculous degree of permissiveness in the sake of environmentalism, which does kind of go hand in hand with the social grand standing exhibited in salem as a whole.

I absolutely loved it here! Nice, clean room in a beautiful building and the location could not be any better. The only thing to note is that the parking was a bit far away and required us to get a parking pass from the front desk. Not a big deal for us but worth noting!

Perfect Salem stop

The check-in / check-out process was very quick and easy through text messages or at the counter. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and had appropriate amenities. Location was right in town, perfect for popping in and out as needed. Parking was provided. Breakfast was provided by scheduling a time the evening before through a link sent via text message. Higher end of my per night price range, but would recommend!
