I had chosen this hotel from the filtered search on Expedia; “All-Inclusive”, input guest count & ages, but the rooms provided to select themselves, weren’t actually all-inclusive. Ironically at check in, we were told that our room had been upgraded. Once we entered the room, it was a complete mess from the previous guests & we had to wait several hours to enter our room. It was at this point they disclosed we didn’t have all-inclusive. The manager, Rosa Dorantes, said the website was “deceptive” & was incredibly rude/unprofessional to us & Expedia while we worked out the “mishap”, requiring $3k more (we were told ~$700) to upgrade to All-Inclusive. The room layout was ideal for a family with a split floor-plan but the beds were hard & uncomfortable. There were 2 restaurants on site; A small Italian restaurant that required a reservation & the general open-air restaurant, which had both buffet style & menu options. The food was mediocre & eating at the buffet restaurant in the mornings, while birds ate off serving spoons, was gross. The “sports bar” was rarely open, and you can’t get a drink after 10pm because everything closed. They offer a bus service that goes to The Royal Sands property - where there are more restaurants/food options, a waterpark, music/evening entertainment, polite employees. But with 2 hour pickup windows & heavy traffic in the area, going the short distance was a hassle. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this property, nor would we ever stay here again.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and attentive, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The food was delicious and the overall atmosphere was relaxing.only the beach had some sargassum on it. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Ability to access the other property with better amenities. Roomed to a different room than what was stated in the reservation. It was supposedly resort view, but we ended up in a lagoon view with really no view to enjoy at all. Far from hotel's amenities. Also, the minute you unload your luggage you get approached by whom i thought was a bellboy, beware they are partnered with a person who will start introducing you to attend a presentation that looks like a timeshare..they will hold your luggage on hold until the person who escorted you to the room is finished convincing you to sign a paper. We were insisting to have our luggage in because were are tired from a whole day travel and just wanted to change and have dinner. It took almost an hour before they let the luggage in.

All of the workers are nice. Antonio our concierge was awesome! I only put 3 stars for area around the hotel. There is nothing to do around the hotel without leaving the premises. All inclusive is useless. They only have 2 restaurants to choose from. This is definitely a laid back non party place! I would go back. The villa with kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms was the main reason I stayed there.
