The whole staff was incompetent I checked in on Monday. I told the staff I wanted to extend my stay. Told that was fine. On Tuesday, I checked in with another staff member. They told me it was fine. Sunday night I was locked out luggage held hostage security guard watched over me No call throughout the whole day until around two when I came to check my room and that’s when I noticed I was locked out. Had to go to the front desk. That’s what was going on. Nobody told me for about 30 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous.. What’s the place looks like it’s gonna open for 50 years. Horrible experience all the way around to my door knobs and one growing out to the balcony and went to the bathroom was broken off. The staff told me they knew about it and don’t worry about it. Craziest experience I’ve ever happened in upstate all over the world.

Great hotel with walking distance to beach, good restaurants and shops. Vance at the Front Desk was very welcoming and cheerful and was able to check us in earlier. We had a nice ocean view room. The floor was still sandy and probably needed another good swipe. But overall, the room was nice. The ladies at breakfast very friendly and breakfast was good. Parking is just around the corner in a parking garage for $25/day. But there are parking fees everywhere in the area!!!!So, compared to the $49/day we paid in Miami, this was ok and one can go in and out of the garage. Overall, would definitely stay again as it made our stay easy, convenient and comfortable.

The hotel looked neat in general, but we had a very small room. After spending the night at the hotel, we woke up with multiple itchy bites all over our bodies. We're not sure if it was bed bugs or something else. Breakfast was not edible; everything was cooked from frozen (except waffles).

The young lady with the dimples (it was her birthday) was so friendly and greeted us with a beautiful smile. We walked around and had a great evening by the pier. Will be back!

TRU BLUE…. BOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!

Called in on 9/10 asking for early check-iin. told rto call uon arrival on 9/12. called @8:15 am upon arrival… they would work on it… missed call from hotel@11:26 Hotel called back.. room teady. upon arrival to hotel… they gave room away! Had to wait for another room… got room… only to notice there was no black out blnds… just sheer. reported t to the front desk on way out for evening… sent maintenance to room to fix… upon return front desk informed me that blinds could not be fixed… no rooms available THAT ROOM SHOULDvNOT HAVE BEEN ISSUED in the first place. They agreed to room compensation, but would have to contact thrd party that I reserved wth. No sleep that night …like day in the room. Complained to front desk… and told them that I had been ip 33 hrs no sleep… activities were planned for whole wedding weekend… I wanted my full stay comped… hotel had room avaiable… would have to pack and move upon my days return. Did so @ 10:30 that night! No drawers for clothes… 4 hangers… no ice bucket… no DO NOT DISTURB signs they ran out…. lived outta my suitcase for 4 days Not once did I have to use my room key for the elevator as stated… was not secure as stated fir single woman. would like my stay comped… NOT just the first night! I came to enjoy my friends wedding… as others that stayed in thr TRu. They ruined an enjoyable stay for me
