7 Cross Street is right in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Galway making it a fun (although noisy) and very walkable place to stay. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly, though sometimes hard to locate. The building is old and our room was very small, but they provide interesting historical information for the building.

This property is adorable! Beware: there is no lift, the stairs are narrow and the room is tiny. With that said, we loved it. The rooms are identified by the names of authors, the breakfast is ample and the location offers multiple options for food and drink steps from your door.

Hotel is right in the heart of the action in Galway. Excellent music in the bar next door although the music was quite loud in the room also. The hotel provided ear plugs so it didn't really bother us. Hotel is a very old 600 year old building with no lift, steep/narrow stairs so carrying luggage was challenging. The room was very small. The car park at the Spanish Arch has extremely small parking spaces and was daunting to navigate, for a westerner. Unfortunstely missed our first night at the hotel due to a plane delay and couldn't get a refund.

As mentioned in other reviews, there is street noise, but the hotel provides ear plugs. We don"t mind staying up until the noise dies down but if you like to go to bed early, you might want to find a hotel farther from the Latin Quarter. Rooms are very small due to the historic building but manageble for a 2 night stay. Breakfast had a nice spread of yogurts, hardboiled eggs, cheese and breads. Staff were very helpful.

Very clean and tidy rooms small but have everything you need staff very good and friendly. Nice continental breakfast, only thing bad was too noisy a Bar across from you and couple of other Bars in the street music playing until 2 in the morning plus noisier after closing time. Great place for young people who party.

This is a cute old hotel. Rooms are clean and comfy but not much bigger than the queen bed! But the staff and location make up for it. It can be noisy but the double windows help slot.

Fabulous stay in Latin Quarter, Galway.

You are staying in a cozy, 700 year old building in the center of the Latin Quarter in Galway, with air conditioning! If you don’t understand the connection between Galway and Spain, look it up on Wikipedia. Fabulous location, fabulous staff, fabulous cozy room with en suite bathroom. Laundromat around the corner. The only downside is all the stairs but, 700 years old.

Hotel room and bathroom very small but clean and comfortable. We were on the top floor which meant carrying luggage up 3 flights of very narrow stairs, staff assisted - historical building, no elevator. Once moved in we enjoyed the stay! Included breakfast was fresh and delicious, staff was very welcoming. Right on pedestrian street with restaurants, bars, music - we enjoyed the proximity and walkability but some may find loud for sleeping.

Clean, central and historic location. Also tiny - like tiny-tiny - room and bathroom. People upstairs sound like they’re in the room with clogs on. Just be prepared. I don’t know how more than one person could fit, never mind with luggage. Again though, great location and super clean.

The staff at 7 Cross Street were extremely helpful and kind. The location can't be beat, you're right in the heart of things. There was a smidge of noise from the street at night but we expected that having read the description and other reviews. It didn't bother us. Overall our stay was very pleasant!

The hotel is very old and has a lot of character. The rooms have been recently updated so everyone is clean and in good condition. The room itself is very small and hard to move. The sink has separated spigots fur hot and cold water which is a little frustrating but not terrible. What is super frustrating is the shower water pressure. I had trouble getting tinsed off.

Loud music from 2300-0200 on a Tuesday. They said this in the advertisement, but it was really loud. Then other hotel people were mad and slamming doors. There should be a way to speak to the city and not have late music during the week at least. Room seemed clean but by friend said there was hair on her sheets. It’s fine if you don’t mind staying up late. Convenient location, close to parking and city center.
