convenient and clean but noisy heating

I needed a quiet place to sleep right at the airport after a flight with a 01:45am arrival and needing to pick up a car rental the next morning. THe Alt is simple to reach from the terminal so scores very well for location. It is also very close to car rental. However, the windows do not open due to proximity to the runways, but the noise from the heating system, which went on and off throughout the night waking me up several times, was something like planes coming and going! THe room was sparkling clean, but it was stuffy due to the carpeting, the closed windows and the fact the thermostat could not be dialed down very far. I am not so displeased as to tell folk not to stay there - the location cannot be beat - , but I think two improvements could be made: 1) remove the carpeting; and 2) either set up a quieter heating/AC system, or allow guests to turn the system off completely if they value silence over ambient temperature.
