We didn't get to the hotel until 10 pm. When we got there, we couldn't stay at our reserved hotel, Fairfield Marriot, because their computer system was down. They couldn't even pull up our reservation. We ended up staying in the Hotel next door, Sheraton Four Points. I believe it was the same owner for both hotels, so they honored our reservation. That was a blessing. It was cramped and we couldn't get shampoo, or coffee for our room. The breakfast was very limited as well. Our key had to be reprogramed every day. Also, the door had issues, and we couldn't get the deadbolt to shift. The staff tried to be accommodating. I give them that. And the girl that serviced our room was very nice. I tried to use the pool, but it was completely closed, and the gate was chained off, even though the pool looked fine. The work out room smelled and there were no towels in there. Also, no water available. There were a lot of security cameras and warnings in the parking lot about theft and 24 hr. surveillance. There was construction all around the area and it took us navigating around blocks and blocks to try to get back to the hotel each day. Truly...this was the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel and Expedia. There were many homeless in the area as well, we were more concerned about hitting someone while driving because they would wander into the street. Very sketchy environment. I don't think I will be visiting Houston again.
