Best hotel I've stayed at yet in terms of cleanliness and comfortability. However we were woken up multiple times to kids screaming which was very annoying. I would expect better soundproofing from such an expensive hotel. Also my wife and I were just chilling in the pool, only thigh deep just having a conversation when we were interrupted and she was asked to get out of the pool because she didn't have a swimsuit on but rather a dress. I assume this is for safety reasons but we were only on the steps of the pool, standing and not swimming.

I booked a premier selection suite again which unfortunately had been renovated and resulted in an occasional awful sour urine-like smell in the lounge room. Fortunately the bedroom was fine. The hotel supplied an air purifier for the room as due to the ASEAN Conference the hotel was fully booked. This ameliorated the smell but it was still there. The hotel's previous daily shuttle to various points has now been reduced to only 5 days but it is fairly close to Bukit Nanas monorail station so commuting is easy.

Excellent hotel and quite affordable for this Filipino American traveler from Manila and San Francisco Bay Area. The best part was the Lemon Garden restaurant where we had breakfast everyday and also sampled their dinner. Both are buffets and offered amazing choices of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and European/Western cuisine. My favorite was the dessert section that offered fresh pastries and ube (yam), coconut and mango ice cream! The dining staff were very professional and friendly. Since we were there for 7 nights, the dining staff got to know us by our first names. Chef Scott has done an excellent job with the food and staff. Major thumbs up to Chef Scott, his chefs and to Daniel (hotel GM) and the Shangri-La hote staff! Our room was beautiful, comfortable, very clean and well kept by the housekeeping staff. It is an upscale hotel to which I would gladly return and stay at. Best paet was the Petronas Towers were a short 15 minute walk away, as are some restaurants.

The staff were incredible - very polite and the hotel is really well kept. Love the lobby area! Fresh orchids everywhere - would definitely recommend this place. If I’m ever in KL again, this is where I’ll be staying!

I had a lovely stay at the Shangri-La KL. The staff are all wonderful, in the dining room, lobby, room attendants. Lovely turn-down service, and many water bottles provides in the room. Fantastic pool. Rooms are fairly quiet especially given proximity to busy roads, with extremely good black-out curtains. Highly recommended.
