Reception were generally unfriendly with poor communication and not particularly helpful. Almost no information on the hotel and how to do things. The room was dated and tired withe the 'kitchenette’ barely useable. The fridge didn’t close and had to ask for a kettle. Nothing to wash things up with and the room was barely tidied. We were in a non smoking room but people all around us smoked in their balconies so it was like being in a smoking room. Air con was poor. On the plus side bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. Would not go back

Our stay was nice in the beautiful town of Cascais, Portugal. A couple of things to improve on would be the breakfast buffet. We were there for 3 mornings and not one time were the eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausages hot. On the last morning we were there early cause we were checking out and the eggs were cold!! Also we didn’t like the barking dogs!! We understand it is an apartment hotel but the dogs were very annoying. Especially while sitting outside by the lovely pool at the bar enjoying a cocktail….other than that our room was comfortable & clean and had a nice view of the sea

There are little things that could be easily done to make this property better, like getting rid of the ridiculously outdated COVID notices outside the elevators, displaying the correct breakfast times and fixing some of the tatty furniture.

The hotel is in a safe, quiet area and enjoys beautiful sea views. Everything seems to run smoothly and our grandchildren really enjoyed the swimming pool. We only ate in the hotel at breakfast time - an enjoyable and plentiful buffet, although a few changes from day to day in the selection would have been nice. Within a 5 minute walk there's an area of restaurants and opposite there's a small supermarket. The walk into central Cascais was a bit longer than I'd expected ( around 50 minutes along the coast road ) but the hotel's reception can order taxis and they arrive within a couple of minutes.

Pestana is good, only thing i did not like about the rooms were the really high bath tub. you had to step up really high to get in and the door didn’t shut all the way so water got all over the floor. the couches in the rooms i was in were stained. other than this the hotel was fine.

There was a major mistake in the booking at the hotel. I did 2 nights, 29/06 - 01/07 with Hotels.com but wanted to add an extra night for 28/06, I was guaranteed the same room with a sea view and wouldn't have to move for the 2nd part of the reservation. When we arrived there at night, there was no room. Reservations had sent an email to confirm so they were obliged to find us something, eventually after much a to do, we got into a room but then had to move out the next morning so it cut into having two full days there. I would like to give a 'shout out' to Mariane who was on the reception that night and moved 'hell & high water' to help us. She negotiated one night, compliments of the hotel so in the end, thanks to her, all worked out well.

A Deeply Disappointing Stay My experience at this hotel was abysmal from start to finish. The property was visibly neglected, with poor maintenance and a lack of care in both the rooms and common areas. To make matters worse, the staff were exceptionally rude, showing little regard for guests and opting to converse among themselves in Portuguese rather than assisting customers. The overall atmosphere was unwelcoming, and the service was non-existent. Particularly from Bernardo Deca she Latoya Silva. I left within 30mins of arriving. The experience spoilt the beginning of my 10 year wedding anniversary I would strongly advise against staying here.

Size amd cleanliness of room was good but very dated. Old mattress, old pillows, etc. Badly needs a makeover and maintenance of bathroom fixtures. Location was excellent. Fair value for the price we paid but still a little underwhelming for a Pestana property.

Beautiful place to stay , breakfast is great , staff are great and room is beautiful. Lots of thing to eat and close to the ocean/walking trail. Pool was open in the winter which is nice.
