The room was very basic Upside down light fittings making it difficult to choose the correct switch Air conditioning unit was very dated and extremely loud making it difficult to sleep need air con on as the room was warm Bathroom door handle not fitted properly so the door kept opening Outside the building looks tidy and dirty Reception area very clean and staff extremely friendly and helpful Lovely view of the docks and the liver building Lovely roof terrace very clean and lovely views

It got off to a bad start!!! A notice outside the hotel said the car park was £10 for 24hrs stay….it was £14 then the car park itself, was very small, with a lot of spaces being reserved. We managed to get a space but it was very tight, meaning we were worried that damage could be done to the car. Then the room itself was nice and clean, the bed was so uncomfortable, that sleep didn’t come, and a few snatched moments of sleep was all we got. Thought it might have been just me, but my husband said it too, and that he didn’t sleep well either. Also on check in, we were told breakfast would be £16 each. When we got to b/fast, we were told it was £18, but we told the woman what we were told and she marked it at £16. Shouldn’t have had to do this. B/fast itself was not worth the money! Very slow in topping up the items that had run out, plus when you went up, sauces, cutlery and food was sparse! We won’t want to come back to this hotel purely because of what I’ve said, and I wouldn’t recommend to my friends. Other people’s reviews will probably be different to mine, and that’s fine, but our experience was not that great. If we had had a decent nights sleep, and the bed and pillows were comfortable, then this might not be so moany!!!

Great Value Hotel

All the staff I encountered were very professional, polite, and eager to help. I couldn't have asked for better service from anybody. The building is maintained to a very good standard.
