Room good size, lots of storage. Clean comfy bedding and decent bathroom with big shower cubicle with toiletries. Limited parking but we got a spot and hotel gave us it at descounted price. Staff helpful. Didnt eat at restaurant, but did go across the road to Travelodge for English Breakfast Just not 4 star. Decor needs redoing, scuff marks, chips. Lampshades cracked. Paint chipped. Carpet stained. Curtain burnt mark. Bathroom fan pitted in dust. Undesirable marks on walls. Didnt get time to check out spa as at the Rugby.

I was locked out of my room, leading me to miss an important meeting. It took over 30 minutes to resolve and I ended up needing to move rooms. The staff did everything they could but it seems that they should have been prepared and able to override a broken electronic lock.

Dinning option sin the neighborhood were limited. Cute coffeeshop nearby good for breakfast or just coffee. The room design was dated but the bedding was clean and comfy. We did not get the TV to work, not the safe and the mini fridge did not seem to be connected to power.

Not what I expected

Arrived early , before check-in . My 6 year old and I had travelled from America , and upon arrival I asked would it be possible for a room. The receptionist was a lovely girl and checked with 2 senior staff including a manager but said it wouldn’t be possible. An hour later a lady told me a room was ready but would be an extra £20. At this point I just needed to get my son into bed as he was sleeping on me in the reception area which is very basic and uncomfortable for a 4 star hotel. The room was very basic , lighting was poor, sockets were hard to navigate. The shower door was broke also.
