My initial Expedia search specified a facility that included breakfast as part of the package. The facility in Castaic was listed as offering that option. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the facility did not serve breakfast, and that coffee was only available in the lobby for a two hour period each morning. Overall, the facility provided the basics. If all one needs is a basic room, then the Castaic facility will meet that need.

The staff is incredibly polite, kind, accommodating, and personable. I wish that were enough to be able to recommend this motel, but unfortunately I just can’t. It is, by far, the dirtiest and most run-down motel I’ve ever stayed at. The pool looks like it probably hadn’t been functional in years, but hasn’t been closed or cleaned up. The parking is SUPER tight. I could overlook apl of that, but the room was very dirty. My daughter’s socks were black after 15 minute walking around. The flooring is peeling, which I could also deal with if they weren’t so dirty. They don’t look dirty b/c of the pattern, so I wonder if the cleaners just don’t clean it at all? I’m not a clean/germ freak, but I wouldn’t let my kids walk around barefoot at all. I took a dry towel and wiped up the 10 square feet near the sink, and wiped up a ton of hair and dirt. The curtains had slashes, burns, and lots of unidentified dried liquids. Now, it is the cheapest option in an expensive area, so if it’s your only option, I would recommend bringing a mop and disinfectant. The sheets at least did seem like they had been washed.

Very long day driving. Did a late check in. This when nightmare starts…. didn’t accept the 1st room given as it was already opened when first came. Was given another room BUT it was very outdated, major water pipe leaks in the bath counter sink, bathtub has no faucet, floors uneven, wall lamps crooked, bath towels looked like they’ve been reused for years! This facility is very dilapidated - reminded me of the monster house movie, however this one is for real! Stay away at least until it’s Halloween!

Check-in was easy and staff was friendly but the room was horrible. Curtains were dirty. The hair dryer over heats easily. The floor planks and the bathroom doorknob are loose. If u are desperate for a stay go ahead. It’s economical but No breakfast. No laundry. False advertising on those amenities. Only shower amenities were plentiful and convenient.
