The Line hotel is located in an area that is central to other places and activities in LA. The bedsheets are not the greatest quality and the facilities are just ok.

This was a nice hotel with cool rooms and friendly staff and in a pretty popular area and centrally located for our purposes. The valet parking is nice but be aware of the fees to budget for them including the incidental fee.

We came for a wedding held at the nearby Wilshire Ebell. Our one night stay was short but enjoyable, but marred by the $60 parking charge, and an even worse $30 “amenity fee”, the latter a b.s. charge for “access to the gym and pool”. Such a blatant ripoff! I won’t be coming back to The Line Hotel.

My wife and I stayed here 5 years ago and loved it. We came back hoping to re-experience the same fun but unfortunately it was a bit underwhelming. While not a bad hotel by any stretch, LA (post covid) has really gone downhill and that's reflected in many of their hotels. The rooms are a bit worn, the colors a bit faded, scratch-marks on the walls or floorboards that wouldn't have existed a few years ago are present. It just fell a bit flat. Let me be clear, I would stay here again! But namely when traveling for business. It just wasn't the cute/special little artsy hotel we experienced as newlyweds.

This boutique hotel was definitely a vibe. There’s a cafe on the property, which I utilized daily for my morning coffee fix. I love the eco-friendly, modern, minimalistic aesthetic. The hotel was a great value for the money. During my stay, the bar hosted a Deily happy hour, and there was even a book signing event for a local Asian chef. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay and would return next time I am in LA!

My stay had some challenges that I hope the hotel can address for future guests. The biggest issue during my stay was the blinds in the room. They are controlled electronically via a wall switch, but they would open and close on their own at random times. The motor that operates the blinds is also quite loud, which made the experience even more disruptive. This made sleeping and changing in the room very difficult. The only way to stop them was by holding down the stop button, but that only paused them temporarily — they would start moving again shortly after. The blinds even opened in the morning while we were still trying to sleep and again after we showered and were getting ready to go out. Some of the furniture in the room was also oddly designed. The standing lamp had a very heavy round concrete base that caused it to lean against the wall, and trying to move or adjust it so it stood straight was nearly impossible. The coffee table looked stylish at first, but its surface was covered with faux wooden “books” (rectangular wooden blocks), leaving almost no flat space. We had to balance drinks either on top of the blocks or between them, which made the table basically useless. Additionally, if you bring your own car, you’re forced to use the valet service — there’s no option for self-parking, which I found inconvenient. Lastly, I requested extra towels during my stay but never received them, which was disappointing and inconvenient.
