When I booked this room I did not realize that La Quinta was a Wyndham property...I had sworn I would NEVER stay at another Wyndham property after my last experience at a Wyndham property, and the response I received from their corporate offices after my compliant...This was totally on me... I was pleasantly surprised by my arrival and stay at this property, and would happily stay here again...I will have to reconsider Wyndham...Perhaps the bad one I stayed at was just a one-off...but their Customer Service still leaves a lot to be desired... I would highly recommend this property with 2 caveats...These have more to do with the surroundings, more than the property...Opt for a "even numbered" room, as well as a room closer to Monroe Ave, rather than Union Ave...this is due to noise and light... The one and only complaint I had was that there weren't phone charger/usb ports on both sides of the bed...

Property needs some work & staff training

Few reasons because of which will not be returning to this property. 1. Window in the rooms need to be soundproofed. Could hear every car passing on the road below, all night. 2. One of the guests on my floor started blasting music on full volume late in the night. Kept calling front desk for assistance but no one cared to answer. 3. Housekeeping staff helped themselves to my phone charger (in my absence) to charge their device while they were in my room cleaning. It’s just a phone charger and not my electricity but it’s not a nice feeling to find out someone used your personal belonging.

A great location to restaurants. We toured Graceland and Civil Rights Museum all easy to get to from hotel. Bright and very friendly and clean. A great place for the money.

Great stay.

Cardio’s was great at check in. Breakfast was fine. The Rendezvous and Beale Street are nearby. The AAA Redbirds ballpark is an easy walk.

The staff did their best but having a Hells Angel convention in the parking lot and a suspicious car idling for hours outside your window and occasionally reviving the engine did not make for a restful stay

Up and coming revitalized area of Memphis. Walkable to waterfront, Peabody Hotel, and Stadiums. Some food options nearby. The area was quiet, but I visited during a winter storm. LOL The hotel (1st floor) was not quiet due to maintenance, housekeeping, and the nearby ice machine. Rooms need additional lighting - especially if trying to work at the desk. Free breakfast was good unless dietary restricted (vegan or gluten free options not available). I will likely stay here again should I have the opportunity to return to Memphis. :)

Staying one night and plan to go to Sun Studio. This hotel is right down the street. Rooms are nice. Front desk was very nice. He recommended Huey’s to eat. It’s in walking distance also but was too cold for that! But nice environment there too. We would have felt safe walking around but like I said, it was too cold out.
