This was my second stay at Le Nouvel Hotel - this is a fantastic hotel. It’s close to everything, and the rooms are very comfortable.

We were disappointed at check in. There is a changeover of staff at 3pm which is silly as this is arguably the busiest time of the day on reception. We were made to wait while numerous phonecalls were taken and several people were behind the desk but not serving anyone. We were upgraded to a King bed but found the room hard to find. We had no wifi for the duration of the stay and trying to call the reception to sort it yielded 15 minutes on hold and we gave up. Overall the hotel could do with a makeover and some retraining on customer service.

We were staying here on vacation for a few days. This property has rooms for long-term stays, condo's as well as a hotel rooms. When we first arrived there were several families sitting on the front steps smoking, which threw us off, however we later realized that they were staying at the long-term stay rooms. When we checked in the staff member was very nice and gave us good recommendations for restaurants, transit options and site seeing. However, we were also offered a free steering wheel lock, (we were told it was because we were in the city, and people liked the safety of this option), but we found this a bit concerning (we have stayed in several other city's and were never offered this). There were two sets of elevators and we went to the long-term stay section first, which was wrong, as our room was in the other section, which was also the condo section (it is where our room was). Parking at the underground parking lot was challenging as there are posts everywhere which are difficult to navigate, but we were able to find a spot eventually. The room was very nice, clean and quite large. Walking to Old Montreal took around 25-30 minutes and we were also around a 5 minute walk to St. Catherine St. Overall I would say that we liked the room and hotel, however the underground parking situation was challenging.

Not my cup of tea. I’d stay elsewhere.

This was our third hotel of the trip. It for sure wasn’t our favorite. We had three interactions with staff in which two were rude. The first, we drove out front to where the hotel sign said hotel loading zone - 15m. It’s not…beware. The hotel lady came and said it move my car. I said can I unload my luggage first. She said “sure and get a $300 ticket.” I asked where I am supposed to do it and she said “wherever you want, there’s paid parking across the street.” I get it…but you don’t have to be rude and condescending. Our second incident came when we were told at check in that our stay included breakfast. The desk person told us where and when to be. When we arrived at the restaurant the day we didn’t have the chits to give them. I went to the front desk and was told very rudely that it wasn’t included - hotels.ca bookings never include it here do. That would have been fine except the lady was really rude about it. The facility is okay. Pool is outdoor and in the building next door. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Not a lot of food options close by. You can walk a few blocks to find them. If you asked me would I stay here again? Answer is no. I’d choose to spend money elsewhere. Especially when you are talking $200 plus per night

The bright lights from the parking lot flood lights made it hard to sleep. There should be black out blinds. The condition of the property is not 'nouvel' and while attempts have been made to renovate, this place is shows its age.

it is convenient enough , though the underground parking is too narrow and needs to be careful. there is a small kitchen in the studio, we could have some food prepared by ourselves

This hotel was not what was advertised. Our king suite with kitchenette lacked any amenities that would permit someone to use the kitchen. There were not enough pillows for our group, the sofa bed is all springs, handprints on the headboard, and the kitchen was not what was shown. Our kitchen had a tiny rickety table and the kitchen itself had a two burner hot plate and a microwave. Front desk staff were understaffed and frazzled because it was so busy. Just not a great place at all. Very basic for what we paid.

A great stay.

Excellent location. It is a short walk to the metro station and the main shopping/restaurant street: rue Ste. Catherines. The hotel has a small convenience store in its lobby, and there is a larger one across the street. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and spacious. There were some welcome snacks, and the room had a mini microwave/coffee machine and mini fridge. Their parking garage has 2 levels, so there were always plenty of spaces available. Overall, it was a great stay. Zero complaints.
