Family Visit

This is the perfect stay while visiting family in Montrose. Breakfast options were good. Daily maid service was a plus. Ample parking was convenient. Hotel is in a good location.

The bathroom walls were disgusting which made me wonder how clean everything else really was. Also, we needed a handicapped accessible room, which was not available. They said they did not get my request from Expedia to have a downstairs room if a handicapped accessible room was not available (since there was no elevator). The hotel was booked, so they could not give us another room and offered nothing else to help us. I used to work for a hotel and I know they could have called around and helped us find another room at a sister hotel, but they didn't even offer. The staff was very cold to us after that even when we tried to say hello and smile. We felt just because we complained about the room issue that we were no longer welcome, but they took our money and didn't offer anything in return so it's not like we could leave. We weren't happy.

Clean room, helpful staff, huge parking space. Breakfast options are little less, juice dispenser not working and adding eggs or potatoes would make it great, rest everything is great.

Found a bug in the bed. That wasn’t the worst part… I arrived mid-afternoon, checked in, left my bags in the room and left to do some sightseeing. When I came back that evening and turned down the bed, I found a small bug. I grabbed a tissue, picked up the bug and threw it away. At that point I decided this place was not for me. There were other sketchy things about the place (dimly lit hallways, door didn’t close properly) but the bug in the bed was a dealbreaker. Not at all what I expected from the reviews or for the price they charged. Then came what to me was the worst part. I go to the front desk to get this resolved, quietly. I let another guest go ahead of me, check in and leave the lobby first to avoid a scene. I then told the man about the bug and that I wouldn’t be staying there. His response was essentially to accuse me of lying. Did I have a picture? Was the bug still there? Unless he could investigate and confirm for himself there was nothing he could do, he said. I’d had enough and wasn’t digging through trash for proof. I’d love to know what scam he thought I was trying to pull. I had been in the room a grand total of 20 minutes between dropping off my bags and returning later. What exactly was I getting from this, besides the hassle of having to find another place to stay after a long day on the road? What I expected was an apology and a refund, not whatever that was. I generally don’t leave reviews but this kind of anti-hospitality deserves one.

The floors are un even in room and hallway. The cracks in the walls are very noticeable. When you take a shower using the shower curtain you flood the bathroom floor. Would not recommend this particular property to anyone. It is old and needs updating. The bathroom was not as clean as could be. Thank you

Hotel was fine for a one night quick stay before an early flight. However please note there is no elevator if you are on the second floor. Rooms were quiet, clean and AC worked well. The room decor is very outdated and the cleaning smell was strong enough I had to open window for a couple hours. Also there was no transportation available to the airport. We had to rent a car.

I’m writing to share our disappointment regarding a recent stay at your property. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory due to the condition of the room. Upon arrival, we found the blankets and sheets covered in pet fur, which was both unhygienic and unacceptable. To make matters worse, there were no staff available to assist, and we had to change the bedding ourselves. Despite this inconvenience, we were not offered a refund or even a credit for the trouble. We believe this situation warrants a follow-up and would appreciate being contacted directly to discuss a resolution. We hope you take this feedback seriously and address the cleanliness and staffing issues to prevent future guests from facing similar problems.
