This beautiful home built in 1887 is such a cool place to stay if you’re visiting Mount Dora! Conveniently located to downtown so you can walk to everything if you like. Beautiful front porch makes for great people watching as well, as the home faces a main thoroughfare. The host has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, from plenty of surge protectors to charge all of your devices, hooks on the back of every door, extra blankets, an Amazon Echo device to play music, and checking in and out was an absolute breeze. Stop looking and book 1887 Royellou!

Overall, the house was very beautiful and we could certainly tell that the owner had spent a lot of money on it. The only reason I did not give it five stars is I am a handicap veteran and I booked the house because of the nice ramp going in the back and the website promising handicap accessibility The toughest thing for me was taking a shower with no grip rails and the small commode.

Excellent stay. The house is great full kitchen, linens, one master bed 2 nd floor, two on fist floor, plenty of parking, maybe half mile walk to town or less (easy walk). Download Freebee shuttle which is enclosed golf cart service. They work on tips Tim and Dale who picked us up were great. Never a wait. Highly recommend this place located near everything. Will stay again.

Hands down the best VRBO experience! The house is perfectly set up with EVERYTHING you need. James (the host) was so helpful and accommodating. Cannot recommend this house enough to anyone visiting the Mt Dora area.

This is a great house! It has been completely renovated so while keeping the aesthetic appeal of its 1887 age, it feels like you are in a modern house with very comfortable amenities. The host greeted us upon arrival and made us feel welcome. Beds are comfy and the location is ideal. You could walk to downtown Mt Dora from this location. Front bedroom is a little noisy, so bring ear plugs and you’ll sleep fine. We enjoyed our stay at 1887 Royellou House!

I loved the historic home and its location that enabled us to walk into town and to the park. Fun place to visit over the holidays because of the lights and shopping. The upstairs AC unit was not working but the host was prompt to get it working again. The beds were very comfortable. We love to cook and my only issue with the house was that pots and pans are very old and scratched up and cannot be be used safely. I did tell the owner about this.

We loved staying at this house! It's a 5 minute walk into downtown, just far enough away to be quiet at night but not needing a car to get into all the activities. This time it was only my wife and me, but there is room for more as the downstairs has 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. We stayed upstairs in the master suite which has a nice balcony with a table and chairs to relax and oversee the front yard. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything we needed, and the bathrooms had plenty of towels and amenities. James lives next door and was very attentive when we messaged him with questions. Also chatted with us for a bit and gave us recommendations for dinner and things to do. Great rental for the asking price, we would stay here again.

This property has a great deal of character and history. It is exceptionally well prepared by the owner, spotlessly clean and every amenity you can think of is available for use. The location couldn't be better, being just a short walk into the town of Mount Dora. The house also has dedicated/private parking making staying there even easier! The owner's communication, prior to the stay, upon arrival and during the stay was outstanding and just right. We would definitley stay here again. A great place.
