The Aura Hotel is incredibly convenient, right in the heart of Times Square. Subway is about 1 1/2 blocks away. The hotel itself is small, elevator is slow, and I truly don’t get why hotels no longer have dressers/drawers for guests. Luckily we had a nightstand with one drawer, but it sucks to have to have your luggage out so you can get your clothes and things ready for the day. Our room faced a brick wall, so that was not great. But the bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well and was necessary during the unbearable heat wave NYC suffered through while we were there.

Bathroom smells bad - like towels or places didn’t dry properly and have that moldy smell, and the rooms/windows are not sound proof at all - very noisy (sound like some construction going on) even at around midnight, and some choking smoke smells coming from outside. We were too tired and we are only staying for one night, so we didn’t bother to request a change. However, staffs were friendly and nice.

True vacation without any worry

This was our best stay in New York to date. The staff were just amazing! Check-in was super fun, Andrew greeted us with a big smile and I joked with him about missing the gym. Super friendly! The big star of the show. Anna! She never lost her smile. Despite having to unexpectedly having to cover two shifts (I pay close attention to details) she smiled the entire time. The next day I greet her and still delightful as the first time we met. I missed the doorman's name but he was friendly..in a mysterious way lol. Seriously, this place is my place to stay while in Mew York City!! There's a cute little shop a few doors down, a deli/convenience store with great breakfast options. Location was great for visiting Times Square and walking down to Central Park. Estuve encantada a tenir gente Latina ayudando me! Clean courteous and professional!! 6/5

I have stayed in NY many times, and I understand that hotels in Times Square tend to be noisy with small rooms. My issue with this stay was that nothing in the room worked properly - central air was broken, toilet kept continually flushing, lights either side of the bed were broken (one didn’t turn on, the other did but was hanging on a piece of string) - and then they charged my credit card after my stay for $40 a night, no prior warning and not mentioned on Expedia when I booked it.

Excelente opción para quedarse en el centro de Manhattan, a 1 cuadra de Times Square, muchos restaurantes y cafeterías cerca, muy seguro y muy accesible como punto de partida para cualquier lado; las habitaciones son comodas y bonitas; el hotel es meramente para llegsr a dormir, ya qye no hay restaurante ni nada. El unico tema que tuvimos fue que el aire acondicionado sonaba un poco y que las paredes son un poco delgadas, entonces se escuchaba musica de las habitaciones que teniamos al lado

Great location, modern

The hotel is in a great location, 100m from Time Square, walking distance to Grand Central Station, Central Park, Macy’s etc. The rooms are small, but the bed is comfortable, the AC in our room was VERY noisy, and the thermostat hard to moderate, apart from that we recommend staying there.

This hotel was close to Times Square and a quick walk to any train you need to get anywhere in the city. The hotel was extremely comfortable and clean and everyone who worked there was friendly and polite. I would definitely return.
