I am sick and injured and even with coverage they would not cancel my reservation and charged me anyway! Disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! There are so many beautiful places in New York City, avoid this monstrosity tourist trap!

First off, the staff were pretentious and unfriendly (bar the bellman, Paul, who was a delight). A room service tray was left outside our room for more than a day - hygiene practices definitely come into question! The bottle of body wash broke off the wall in the shower and was not repaired during our stay. Very disappointing. Not worth the money spent, that is for sure.

My wife and I had a great time at the Plaza. The only thing we noticed that would make a big difference is the bedding (sheets & covers) and mattress should be better quality, softer and much less crinkly. The staff was great, called you by last name and was attentive to our needs/wants.
