Grand daughter trip

We liked the location, it was nice to have covered parking. Liked decor. Great view. Nice deck and table. Beds fine. Unit was dated but that was ok. Biggest issue was the blinds in the master bedroom. They absolutely need to be replaced. Ridiculous as is. Broken and non existent. Impacted sleep. Replace!!

Lovely Condo —Terrible Instructions to get in

Once we got into the condo, it was lovely. Great sun and ocean themed decor. The kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the ocean views from the living & dining room and both bedrooms. Exterior night spotlights made BR 2 too light at night. I wish I’d brought a sleeping mask. MBR was missing slats in the blinds reportedly made light at night a problem, too. The BIG problem we had was in getting in. The day before arriving we received the door access code. There is a key pad on the door. One friend got there first, the code appeared to work, the green light flashed, but the door was still locked. So she waited for the other two of us. We all tried, same thing. That’s when we called the 800 number. In our 19 minute call with her, which included a few times being put on hold, we first learned there was a key box up and left of the door. The door code we were given did not work. Then, she gave us a second code. We all tried it. The little box didn’t open. Eventually we learned there was another key box by the storage unit on the parking level. So we went down there. My niece found it and with some effort got the key. She was the key whisperer for the remainder of our time there. Even with the key it took a special touch. That stress was so unnecessary. Give complete instructions, including both codes and how to find the box with the key. Some WD40 on the key lock could help, too. Fix the entry process and it would have been 5 stars.

Last minute cancelation

Unfortunately, my family and I never made it to the condo. We were sent a text message by Vacasa informing us that bed bugs were found as we were halfway to Ocean City. We received a full refund but not any other accommodations. We had to turn around and drive all the way back home. Beware of Vacasa when you are renting through VRBO.

Amazing view

Perfect spot to enjoy the beach! The photos don’t do the view justice, absolutely gorgeous. Unit isn’t super updated or fancy inside but worked fine for us and you can’t beat the location. Check-in process was super easy and convenient. Location was quiet and felt safe.

The owner needs to clean out the closets. The one in the guest BR had 2 vacuum cleaners, a disgusting looking dried flower arrangement that should have been tossed 10 years ago, 3 lamp shades. A large Q size comforter for the primary BR bed. We could barely get our own things in there. We moved a lot of it into the other bedroom closet, but even that closet had so much of the owners stuff in it. The sink in the guest bathroom was completely clogged. I can’t believe the cleaning staff did not notice the sink was not draining. I unscrewed the sink drain and cleaned it out (you’re welcome!). It was completely clogged with hair and gunk. The drain works fine now! There was no cutting board in the kitchen.

Perfect place for family

The property is perfect. The kitchen is dated and paper towel holders were coming off of the wall in each bathroom. Nothing to complain about though. The unit has everything a family needs for an enjoyable stay. very comfortable and perfect views. We are rebooking NOW! Loved it.

Underwhelmed

This unit smells of smoke (heavy) was not cleaned, including a full trash can and the property manager Vacasa was not helpful and in addition I have submitted a review with all of my complaints and have heard NOTHING from them. The view was absolutely beautiful, but even with that, we would NOT stay here again.

Marvelous Beachfront, but needs lots of TLC.

We stayed at this condo in February, the check-in process was good for us as we arrived late. The views of the beach were just as described. I must be honest and say there needs to be more attention to the cleaning. The property has great value, but we would have gotten sick if we had not come prepared with our own cleaning supplies and tidied up before our stay. Urine stains on the toilet seat, mildew on the plastic shower liners, dusty floors, debris on the counters, disorganized kitchen, and towels that weren't clean. Cleanliness is a large part of hospitality. We also had an issue because the parking placard was missing from the condo, so we spent the first day worried about whether our car would be towed, only to finally be told that as long as we parked in the designated spot we wouldn't be towed. We wished the bed in the master bedroom was comfortable. Otherwise, the unit was warm, despite the cold weather, and we enjoyed the marvelous views of the beach and the quiet stay.

Lovely view!

Great space. Unfortunately, there was a strong smell of cigarettes upon entry. Funny story: on the morning of our first day-two men on a lift showed up in the picture window overlooking the water in the living space(5th floor). They put up plastic and blocked the view. Vacasa did magic after I called and the plastic was removed. I felt bad the men were not able to finish. However, I wanted to enjoy the magnificent view which was the reason for the booking. Other then the slight hiccup, the space is sunny and cute. The balcony was delightful as well. I hope to return during the summer to enjoy the water as the trip was in February.

Great location

We were in town for the Oceans Calling music festival, however I have been coming to the Jamaican Sun since I was a child. The location is great, lots of stuff within walking distance but quieter than being closer to the boardwalk which I prefer. Easy to catch the bus to anywhere along the beach. 501 is a great unit with a beautiful view of the ocean that can't be beat. The unit was clean and very easy to access. I hope to continue my family's tradition of going to Ocean City and I will continue to choose staying here as long as it's available.

Noise

There was a very loud noise coming from a pipe in the kitchen. I called vacasa maintenance the next day and they said someone would come look. They did not call or show up and this loud noise persisted during our stay. There were also blueberries in the couch. The home needs a deep cleaning.

Paying for the view only

If you are only looking for a view book this property. However, do not expect an extravagant condo. For the price they are charging for this you would think they would use it for some updates. The features in this apartment are extremely outdated. There was furniture thrown onto the porch that was so rusty I wouldn't dare to touch it. The sliding doors couldn't lock because the lock was completely rusted. The blinds are so cheap that you couldn't open them because they would fall right off. The couch was a U when you sat on it you sunk into the next person. Not to mention there were stains all over the couch it was disgusting. The kitchen is extremely outdated, the silverware was cheap and dirty as well as the other items provided. The countertops were dirty as well as the microwave. You could only pull out so many of the kitchen drawers before the handle on the stove stopped it, the one could only be pulled out like 4 inches. If you plan to stay here for a week I would consider bringing some of your own kitchen supplies. The only nice thing in the kitchen was the refrigerator. The bathroom was ok but the showers need updating. The beds were comfortable but the headboards were barely connected. No suitcase stands to put luggage on. The worst part was the overall cleanliness of this place. You would think they would put some of the money they charge you for towards it. Myself and the guests with me didn't feel comfortable walking without shoes on. We did once and our feet turned completely black it was gross. Upon arrival there were still crumbs on the ground and based on the color of our feet I cannot imagine the last time they mopped the floor. I would not stay here again as it needs major updates and MAJOR deep cleaning. As a frequent traveler to OCMD, this property was extremely disappointing for the absurd amount they charged for it.
