By air, the nearest airports are those of Bari and Brindisi, from which depart some shuttles, but also buses that reach Otranto, from where the house can be reached quickly on foot; In any case, the town of martyrs is well served by the communication channels: if you prefer Rome International Airport and rent a car, you can reach Otranto in a few hours. However, if you are in trouble just contact us and we will help you to reach us.
Arrived in one way or another in Otranto, the house is on the ground floor, very airy, and hygienically well-kept, which includes entrance hall - living room with kitchenette and sofa bed, a double bedroom (or twin beds ), full bathroom with toilet, bidet, washbasin and shower served by hot and cold drinking water constant and without limitation: the prices include water, light and gas consumption.

The house is suitable for a couple of adults plus a child - boy, has independent entrance with courtyard in front and a large back yard equipped with tables chairs and barbecue.
The house is equipped with washing machine, TV, Wi-Fi. Single or double beds are furnished with pillows, mattress cover, sheets, pillowcases and towels (face only).
Any car can be parked on public roads in the immediate vicinity of the apartment.
Owners will help you with any need and suggest you to reach all points of interest: you will discover how to walk, avoiding long queues in car and boring parking searches, within minutes you can reach: beach and sea located in the center of Otranto; the promenade, the old town with all the typical shops in Corso Garibaldi; the Duomo containing the relics of the 800 Martyrs Saints and the famous Mosaic Pavement, a unique work of the world created by the Monaco Presbyterian Pantaleon, which tells the whole story of man from creation, to original sin, to God's action of salvation; The Crypt under the Cathedral made with 66 columns and their artistic capitals of various styles; the Aragonese Castle with the triangular vaulted hall, the walls, the Matta Tower and the Pelasgi Bastion with the splendid sea view; the Byzantine Church of St. Peter; the Villa Idrusa; seafront and refreshment specialties; the Collegiate of the Martyrs of Otranto, the Church and the Convent with the Clarisse: here you will also see the Baroque Leccese and the depictions of St. Anthony Primaldo stood straight after being decapitated until the killing of all 800 martyrs so that the Berlabei Turkish Lieutenant was to convert to Catholicism by drawing on him the lures of Acmet Pasha that killed him by impinging on a wooden pole and plunging him with arrows; you will see a stone pole in place of the original wooden pole now rotten . On foot, you can quickly reach the ortolano where you can buy directly vegetables and vegetables or the Supermarket for shopping. In other words, you can quickly reach all the main points of interest of the city starting from the sea which is about 500 meters. In fact Otranto has more than 25 km of coastline, about 15 km sandy and also suitable for small children. If you want to reach the farther away and do not have cars, the house is also well served by public transport.
Starting from the accommodation, by bicycle, or walking on foot for about half an hour, or by car if you prefer, you can still visit: Faro Punta Palascia (or Capo d'Otranto) with beautiful views (beautiful will be selfie); the Bauxite lake; The Orte; the Tower of the Snake, the symbol of Otranto, where legend tells that a big snake would eat the oil of the great alfalfa which, when it was gone, made it difficult for the sailors (probably the oil was stolen from chissacchì); other ancient Vedres Towers; trips to the Mediterranean Macchia near the Alimini Lakes where in autumn they abound blueberries, bushes and mushrooms; but also the Sanctuary of the famous Madonna of MonteVigentino, which is making a rain of miracles ...
Very popular with tourists are the frequent Sacre, but also Weekly Markets, Exhibitions: these relate to those of San Vito in Ortelle; Doctors Do Uggiano the Church; Ognisanti in Carpignano Salentino; of Candelora in Martano, San Marco in Caprarica ...
Also important is the feast of September 18th with St. Joseph of Copertino, the patron saint of students, where you can visit the sights of the Saint and the beautiful lights set up for the anniversary ...
It is also possible to go bank excursions, guided dives (even the less experienced SUBs can visit the beautiful underwater caves); but also windserf, canoeing, tennis, fishing .... and of course the beautiful swim in the sea ...
Otranto's free or well-equipped beaches are served by large parking lots; the sea water is extremely clean, and the breathtaking views.
When there is no haze you can admire the background of the sea, the Panorama with the Mountains of Albania whose coastline is only 72 km from Otranto. The Adriatic Sea presents a natural shrinkage between the Italian and Albanian coasts at the Canal d Otranto or the exit from the Adriatic Sea; such shrinking creates in the sea of the idruntine city the natural currents between North and South that oxygenate the waters, keeping them very clean, rich in fish and very hot. In Otranto, in fact, the seaside season is extremely long: starts in April-May and ends in September-October; especially those who are fortunate enough to book the house in Otranto in the months of May, June and early July will appreciate the very long and warm days that can be fully lived in the sea and in the open air by visiting monuments, landscapes and cycling tours.
In the months between September and April, Otranto assumes a more agricultural connotation whose work can be seen in these periods: September, Grape harvest; during the months of November and December, Olive harvesting and milling works, thus also enjoying the freshly extracted fragrant oil; in the period from December to April, you can watch Barbatelle working.
A special nod to San Giuseppe: in March when his party is celebrated, the free distribution of Bread, Massa (a kind of homemade pasta), Lampascioni (a type of onion), Fried Fish and other foods are very frequent poor (with absolute exclusion of the flesh) loved by the Great Saint who did not deny the cakes from time to time: in fact only during this time of year you can enjoy the exquisite jewels of St. Joseph. On the days of the 18th and 19th of March, the feast days of the Saint, the religious manifestations in his Honor reach the climax with the Tablets of St. Joseph ...
In the Christmas period, you can visit the living cribs where old craftsmen revitalize old trades of the past: you can see how home candles, ropes, soaps, how the blacksmiths worked, as well as the washers, terracotta craftsmen etc. During this time you can enjoy the exquisite pittles, a typical Christmas holiday that begins mandatory on 8 December with the feast of the Immaculate ...
Otranto is the historical capital of the Otranto Land, which includes all of Salento and the surrounding areas ... Therefore,
on the occasion, if you wish, from the holiday home you can take advantage of the many places of the Salento, such as Santa Cesarea Terme where the Santa Cesarea of Otranto drove to the sea to escape a forced marriage union: the Santa launched into the sea and drowned, the Baths of Santa Cesarea have been discovered, where he always goes for the very useful spa treatments especially for those suffering from allergies and respiratory problems.
It is also an obligation to visit Lecce with its churches of Baroque Lecce, Castro with the cave of Zinzulusa (also visited by boat), where to admire the spectacles created by the natural phenomenon of Carsismo, very frequent throughout Apulia. Also Santa Maria di Leuca with the suggestive lighthouse, but also Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, the Fasano Zoo safari which is great, takes one day to be visited and you visit with your car. Even the ancient traditions of the common people of Salento and so on.
I assure you will not regret it !!
For the apartment, prices from a minimum of Euro 35,00 to a maximum of Euro 60,00 per day for the whole house.
Minimum period of 4 days.
