We visit here often, and having been to other hotels in the area, Homewood Suites Rockaway smacks it straight out of the ballpark and is always a favorite to return to.

Did not use kitchen or gym. Wall paper peeling off bathroom walls. Caulking in bathroom and shower leaking. Sheets were not put on bed properly and really wrinkled. I have no problem reporting this. We have been staying here for years. Never before stayed here and felt this way.

Rooms are very clean pleasantly surprised with a full-size refrigerator microwave and utensils. The staff Gordon and Chelsea were very, very nice friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back here and by the way, the breakfast was very good also.

The breakfast food in the morning wasn’t fresh.. the fruits specifically! The condition of the hotel was poor.. needs repair, repainting.. needs maintenance. It doesn’t look as good as it presents on your advertisement. The gym and pool were smaller than it looked but we made it work

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great selection for breakfast. Room was clean and very nice. I did ask for housekeeping one day and it never showed. I was here for 6 days, so some fresh sheets etc. would have been nice. But overall an great stay.

While we were pleased with the option to choose which floor we’d like to stay on, upon entering our room on the first floor, we discovered that the bathroom lights did not work. We were told that maintenance was gone (3:30 pm) and we would have to move rooms. Upon entering the second room, we were pleased that all lights were working with the exception of one bedside lamp. The room was average and seemed clean, no complaints. However, upon entering the bed at night, I noticed that the corner of the sheets had lifted up and there was a large reddish/brown stain on the mattress where my head would be sleeping. While the expectation wouldn’t be to dispose of the mattress entirely, I would hope that it was disinfected and that the hotel would put a mattress cover over that so that guests did not have to see it. When I informed the woman behind the desk in the AM before leaving, she apologized and told me that the two water bottles I was going to purchase would be “on the house”. We also informed her that the phone in the second room was not working as it constantly had a busy signal any time we tried to make a call.
