We stayed at The Reef 28 for 7 days & loved every minute of it. It's steps away from both 5th Avenue & the public beach. The eating areas, lobby, rooftop & room were clean! The staff was pleasant & very helpful. If you are planning to eat dinner, you have to make a reservation -- breakfast & lunch are open. What is & isn't included in the all-inclusive package will be made clear to you. Just make sure you're playing attention when they give you the tour! We were able to access the sister resorts which are just as nice.

The hotel is super loud in the morning. Expect to be awoken at 6 am every morning as the staff prepare for the hotel breakfast. Even with a noise machine we could not drown out the sound of plates and cutlery slamming into each other. Would not recommend or return here.

We realky enjoyed our stay here all the staff were wonderful. Ricardo the bar tender and Eli stuck out to us the most but everyone was great. Great place in town to check everything out and enjoy the night life. Will definitely be back anoyher time.

The rooms smell horribly of mildew. The Mexican restaurant was some of the worst foot we have ever eaten. There are 8 pool chairs total and the other seats are saved for people from the outside who buy day passes. The staff was wonderful.

I don't know where to start. Ill start by saying Brenda,manager tried her best to help me but it was too much to overlook. Alejandro, Antonio (bellman, and Bruno at the bar were very hospitable! Manager Malo was very nonchalant and unsympathetic. Staff never smiles or says hello. -Even though this is listed as a adults only property I saw kids. I asked staff for cllarity and they said "Oh they just walked in from the street." Thats a safety issue for me. -They dont have butlers/daily room service but have multiple signs warning they're not responsible or missing items left in room. Concerning because your room key dbls as a key for your safe -Nothing is open late -Deceiving room view/very noisy at night. All you hear is sirens and screeching tires "All inclusive" but they make you pay for the good food like steaks or sides Low water pressure Tripped over big wet towel on floor right when you get out of the elevator Felt discriminated for being young and black Breakfast is ok just not alot

⭐️⭐️ (2/5) – Disappointing Experience Despite Great Staff and Location I stayed at this hotel for 10 days with the all inclusive package, and while there were a few positives, overall, the experience fell short of expectations. The Good: Gabriel, one of the servers, was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and always went above and beyond. The location is great, and the rooftop area is definitely a highlight with beautiful views. The Not-So-Good: The hot tub was cold the entire stay, which was really disappointing given how often it’s advertised. The pool water was dirty and it didn’t look properly maintained. The “all-inclusive” package isn’t truly all-inclusive, several items and amenities have extra charges, or time limits which wasn’t clearly communicated. The staff overall didn’t seem happy, which unfortunately reflected in the general service atmosphere. Service times were very slow, with wait times of up to 40 minutes just to get a drink. The sauna and spa pool are not included in the all-inclusive package, and to make things worse, the spa pool was also cold. Overall, while there were some bright spots, the poor maintenance, inconsistent service, and misleading “all-inclusive” offering made this stay disappointing. With a few improvements in management and guest experience, this hotel could be much better.

The room was nice, comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It does feel a bit like everyone wants a tip and that gets annoying because this is where you rest and spend "quiet" time. The food was good, the all-inclusive was basic but fair. If you like something specific it is not included, well drinks and the like are.

Rooms were big and spacious. Noise from the streets were a bit loud, but didn’t ruin the experience. Beach access was pretty close, very short walk. Food was pretty good! Breakfast buffet was great! Wish they had a lunch buffet but Rooftop food was our fav! Only downside was they only had 3 restaurants to choose from for dinner. More options would’ve been nice but not a deal breaker. Staff were friendly. The spa was amazing!
