We just returned from a 5-night stay at Melia Puerto Vallarta with our 7-year-old daughter, and we had an incredible experience. The hotel is extremely family-friendly, with a welcoming atmosphere and beautiful tropical grounds. The kids’ club was a highlight for us – safe, clean, and filled with fun activities. The staff were always kind and attentive, especially to children. My daughter loved seeing the peacocks walking freely around the gardens! The beach was calm and perfect for young children to play. We enjoyed the all-inclusive meals – plenty of variety at the buffet and great à la carte restaurants like Mole & Tacos and Fish House. We also appreciated the evening shows – fun and family-oriented. Everything was easy and relaxed, from check-in to the final day. This was my daughter’s first time in Mexico, and the hotel made it truly special. We would definitely recommend Melia Puerto Vallarta to families traveling with kids!

Como dicen: recibes lo que pagas, era de los hoteles mas baratos en las fechas de nueatro viaje y por eso reservamos, pero le hace falta mejorar en muchos aspectos: Los meseros te atienden bien si les das propina, sino ni te hacen caso. Los de la barra de snacks super groseros, la playa tenia mucha basura, botellas de plastico que el mar avento y el hotel no se preocupo por limpiar, la alberca muy sucia con hojas y arena, en general le hace falta mucho mantenimiento al lugar ya que se veia muy sucio. Las habitaciones estan bien pero el aire acondicionado casi no enfria. Los que se portaron muy amables fueron los de servicio al huesped, excelente su servicio! La alberca de niños estaba cerrada. Recomendadisimos los shows de comedia y magia, esos me encantaron. Podrian mejorar abriendo un club de niños en el interior con aire acondicionado y que admitan a niños pequeños para que los papas podamos tener un tiempo libre. En las barras dan las bebidas muy rebajadas y sin sabor, podrian mejorar eso. Yo no volveria porque le faltan amenidades.

This hotel was very nice. It has its own private beach and a huge pool. It’s all inclusive which is the only way to go. The food was excellent! Staff is very friendly. Family friendly with so many activities. The gift shop is extremely expensive. Overall it’s a wonderful place to stay

The property is very outdated. Rooms are older and there are technically only 2 common areas with air conditioning - the buffet and the Mexican speciality restaurant. Unfortunately these two places have terrible air conditioning! How is that possible? Staff takes forever to seat guests at the buffet which is the only option for all average guests who are not members. The fruit and French fries take forever to be refilled unless the managers are present - unacceptable. Sometimes we would ask waiters and nothing would come out for 30 minutes. The food is not very good. We got locked out of our room a couple of times and the wait time to talk to staff at the front desk was too long. However, the beach is truly excellent. I never say this, but we will not be back. This is a poor representation of Meliá hotels. Rather stay at Riu, Barcelo, Marival, Dreams, or Hilton.

The service was terrible. I even tipped , if you forgot to tip or didn’t leave a dip you will not get any service. To book a dinner is a scam they try selling you a time share type of thing. You have to go to the lobby between the hours you of 9a and 3p to try and book a reservation for one of the restaurants for dinner. We got there right a 9am and they only had a few openings for only 1 restaurant. You willl notice that the dinner restaurants are hardly ever full so i could not understand why they can’t book more reservations. If you eat at the buffet get there early if not the food is bad but get there early the food is fresh and amazing plenty of choices…The hotel room (1115) family suite was very outdated

We had a wonderful and relaxing family vacation at Meliá in Puerto Vallarta. This resort is especially well-suited for families with young children. Our kids loved the pool, which is shallow in most areas—even more so than the nearby beach—making it perfect for safe water play. There’s also a calm ocean cove with gentle waves that added to our peace of mind. The hotel grounds were beautifully maintained and incredibly clean. The staff were always pleasant, welcoming, and ready to help with anything we needed. We mostly ate at the buffet restaurants for breakfast and dinner, and were very pleased with the variety and quality of the meals. The tropical fruits were especially delicious and abundant. Lunch by the pool was also a big plus—super convenient for families who don’t want to interrupt their day of fun. Evenings were a highlight, with family-friendly shows every night. Our favorites included the pirate show, a fantastic magician, live mariachi music, an Easter egg hunt, and outdoor movie nights on the grass. These thoughtful touches made every day feel special. To top it all off, the sounds of tropical birds and the occasional iguana crossing the path added a magical, exotic feel to the experience. We’re very happy with the value and memories we made, and would gladly return!

Loved the property but didn’t appreciate being offered fake absolute vodka. Do better! Had had to ask for a new bottle every time due to them changing it out for the cheaper vodka.

It was an incredible experience. My friend an I went this May 2025 and everyone was so helpful and friendly. The place was super clean, the food was amazing and there were so many things to do on the resort like mixology classes, archery, and dance lessons. It is so close to the airport and the marina. Couldn’t recommend this place more!!
